Not sieging those two extra libs really cost KeeN there. He was probably getting overwhelmed on the ground there anyway but he could have four libs sieged in front of Scarlett's nat and that would have been super annoying

I dont get why Terran has to do "fancy" stuff on Beckett, like Maru with the proxy racks and now Keen with the early 3 Racks pressure? Cant you just play regular and hit the Zerg hard on timing push? The CC first was great, but he should have keep the macro up imho.

Was a pretty bleak way to end TY's career (for now at least). Not that anyone is surprised, but AF sent out a recent returnee and a player in Armani who is definitely not at the top level. TY should obviously be much better than both of them.

Trap playstyle is a bit on the "greedy" side of the build, and he need to get a small window of opening to boost his economy and army count. Lambo has been excellent at using those window timing and push into Trap and broke him open.

I dont think Inno was in the convesation because he wasnt even the best player on the Kaizi team, it was Solar. Schedule-wise Inno schedule wasnt that much tougher than Maru and Cure and he had worse record than them. Granted he gave them 2 important wins on AF and DPG (which was not meaningful because the playoff seed has already been set), Solar also perform great in those matches as well.

Ok, maybe "by quite a lot" was a bit of an exageration, but I still think it's INno, Solar was arguably better this season, but INno still was very solid all season long.
That's if you don't want to give MVP and Best terran to the same guy, if not I agree it's Cure.

What suprising was depsite Inno CC got delayed so much by Byun Reaper, it was still finished ahead of Byun 2nd CC. Was there not enough mineral for Byun to start his 2nd CC earlier?

Even that wasn't too bad - he won a Nation Wars. Sure he wasn't the ace on that team (funny enough, it was Innovation), but to come back and win a premier team league ain't too shabby for a guy well past his prime.

Whoever trying to doubt Inno because of his slacking attitude, this guy just only need a couple of practices to advance. That showed how talent matter the most, with the lack of practices, he still won all the matches handsomely.

Inno just does Inno thing, winning. Having said that, it was a let down by Byun. Neither Lambo nor Scarlett are strong in ZvT and Byun was supposed to carry them through the Terran matches, he was 0-4 in TvT today.

Does anybody know if there are plans to release replays of WTL playoffs? Or is there any way to get the replays of WTL in general?

Whose going to be player roster for Team NV tomorrow?
I love to see Maru, Percival and sOs in the tomorrow matches. Both DRG and Bunny have GSL schedule incoming just a day after, so they may play earlier to avoid exhaustion or sleep deprivation.
Is that possible to change the team's player roster after one playoff series?
For example, Team NZ list DRG, Bunny and Maru for the matches with Kaizi, and then changes to Maru, Percival and sOs for the matches with DPG.

3 players / team match, but ACE match can be anyone on the team, not just from these 3. But for the playoff, you probably want to send your best 3 players including the one who will play the ACE.

The scboy tournaments have never released replays before (Chinese tournaments in general), I don't expect this to change.

I would prefer one match per week in the playoffs. Yesterday, Afreeca Freecs and Shopify Rebellion had to prepare for two matches: their first one and then the one against Kaizi Gaming directly afterwards. That felt like a big advantage for Kaizi, who only had to play one match on that day and could analyse the current form of their opponents when those played their first match. I guess that's simply an additional advantage for the team finishing higher during the regular season. Then again, KaiZi also had to prepare for two opponents, while NV and DPG really couldn't do much of anything regarding specific prep other than take some guesses as who would make it through to them. One match per week would also not work really well once they do the playoffs offline again, as it would drive up the costs.

This format comes from the former CTC/GTC playoffs which were held offline in China, and I believe they won't change it since SCBoy says they are willing to bring offline event back when China's policy toward covid–19 allows.

Hydras with no microbial shrouds buff were really bad against Carriers. DRG should at least made one Infestor when Zest did not make High Templar.

That wasn't a golden moment for maru. He lost 70 supply of ghost, tanks, viking medivacs (+13vcs) for a bit of ling/bane while dark didn't even lose his 15 lurkers... no wonder the game was over 2 minutes later.
Anyway, rushing 2 facto tank prod against almost pure gling composition doesn't seem to work at all. Dark had too much mobility and a lot of engagement looked like an unprotected tank line against a zergling swarm. Dark might be a god at dealing with mines but he still can take +20 ling dead shots.

It's a style not many other Zergs use from the sheer amount of mechanical requirement with the amount of lings.

Clem did play with more Mines and Dark still picked him apart during TSL7. Dark ling micro is so amazing that he keep winning trade despite losing countless of ling to splash damage. I think to counter Dark style, you need to add more Hellbat with BlueFlame into the Bio army to clean up all the lings, but that micro style is just as hard as F.

1. Twelve international teams.
2. Great best-of-two format.

Its funny that Maru worst matchup in 2021 was TvZ, and he had to play 3 TvZ match today for team NV to win. Granted having Beckett Industry as the 2nd map pick ,and NOT doing proxy, was a huge part of that.

There are three candidates of Mvp playoff award that I can think of: Maru, Inno and Lambo. Maru carried his team to final victory, but Inno clear path without losing the series to SR. Lambo somehow managed to pull miracle for his team beating Trap 4-2.
When is announcement of the award by the way?

Anyone is welcome to duo cast it, but there is not much incentive when it isn't on their channel. From past experience, my channel does worse for support when there is a co-caster involved, usually much fewer subs & donations so it isn't worth it on my end, so I stick to solo casting unless someone volunteers to come on for a few maps. But it's also harder in this event because we have to sync up the clean feed, vs just joining a game together.
