Scarlett has been very consistent about why she thinks protoss is OP: cannon rush and skytoss. I don't think the clock analogy is correct.
It just took a long time for everybody else to realize what KR and the foreign teamhouse has known since 2018: skytoss destroys zerg with neeb-level play, and macro cannon rush consistently puts protoss ahead early game.
Once we see more players adopt neeb-style skytoss, PvZ will be a dead matchup. The onus on zerg to end before late-game is too great, given how many defensive resources protoss has on hand.

huh? suddenly Neeb
good thing there weren't any liquibets attached to this

Gotta say I'm happy to see Neeb advance like this. He hasn't had the strongest year and after all, he is one of the greatest foreigners of all time

Poor Armani now has to wait till 3 or 4am to play against Maru or Clem So just the usual for him then, unless you think he goes to bed before 3 AM I think this whole "koreans stay up to 4am anyways" thing is a bit bullshit. Yeah if you go to bed usually at 4am and play ladder or something till like 3am for example, it's obviously not as bad as sleeping usually at midnight then having to play at 4am. BUT: pretty sure they are not playing as well as the beginning of their playing session when they ladder at 2-3am, it just doesn't matter because it's ladder, while having to play tournament games at this hour is a whole other thing.

Ye kinda sad some EU zergs and even Serral got shat on when he said the toss has the advantage lategame if played well. Ofc it was hard to believe when we saw the Harstems, a Skillous and even showtime get bopped by some of the best zergs in eu. But Neeb really plays it different and he is happy to just play split map with a shitload of static and doesnt mind playing a 40 min game in which he trades good enough.
Ofcourse against a Serral-Reynor who have a lot of lategame experience I doubt it is enough. But against pretty much every other zerg its god damn effective.

welp, I guess I better cheer for Neeb to lose to Serral in the quarterfinals so Protosses can keep whining

This is what we're missing as protoss, when one of the best of their race, say Reynor, beats the fifth best korean protoss, we have nobody that comes in and says that this shows the matchup is unwinnable. That's why it takes years for us to get buffed when we're down.
