I was very much into DRG pre-LotV, but now I'm even a bigger fan than ever. I hope he continues to perform at this level through the playoffs.

One tournament is never enough to say a race is the strongest unless something insane happens like them taking all of the top 8. ESL season finals, GSL S2, TSL 5, and Stay at homestory cup 2 have proven that people dramatically over reacted to the results of GSL season 1. It's also absurd that people even reacted that way to start with when we just had IEM end in a PvZ finals right before GSL season 1. Terran is absolutely not the best race currently. It is still Zerg. Terran has maybe moved up to number 2 rather than number 3 as they were in 2018 and 2019 but I'm not even convinced of that yet.

Looking more like a PvZ finals now The classic Maru playstyle (take the one he used to beat Dark in super tourn. finals) is very taxing physically. If he has injury problems I dont blame him trying to approach the games more passively, but with the current meta, maps and overall strenght of Zerg, Bio is not viable at all. I think he could have beaten Solar if he went mech like Dream did. DRG and Rogue are a whole another level though. I dont think there is a Terran out there who could win if the Zergs are playing this good.

DRG said in the post-match interview that he analyzes a lot of games, especially Serral's, so I think maybe since older players can't physically sit at a computer and hammer out as many games as the fresh ones, they can still at least do some very deep analysis of games to compensate; and perhaps, this may even be the superior approach to SC2. I was very much into DRG pre-LotV, but now I'm even a bigger fan than ever. I hope he continues to perform at this level through the playoffs. I think the idea that age impacts a player's performances is really overblown. Talking about DRG as an old man is silly. Boredom, moving on with life, military service (for koreans), lack of motivation during a slump, general lack of team structure in Sc2... there is a long list of things that i'd put above "old age" in a "top reasons why a player isn't as sharp as he used to be"-list for a 29y/o player like DRG. I think we've yet to see a game of Starcraft 2 where people go "too bad, he could have pulled that off if he was younger" while reasonably discarding a multitude of other factors could be the reason why said "old player" could have lost.

I was really scared when I saw the short video time on the VODs cause I thought stupid terran was gonna smash but then it turned out so great! I just hope terran never wins again and we can enter into an age where only Z and P are competitive Terran stupid!

TY has looked poor in everything he's played in lately and lost to DRG in the ro16. Stats looked very good vs Cure.
