They didnt want to send Inno but it was played on West as Benny and teh boys won the coinflip, so picking any of the eu guys with a 30-40 ping disadvantage against DRG (which ZG expected to be the ace) wasnt the right call either. Ofc in hindsight it was after what just happened but beforehand..

Real talk though I wouldn't have minded a Showtime ace that much. He definitely deserves his chance at some point, he's been putting in work for the Grubs.

I was thinking this, too. However, if it ended up being TY from DeMu's side sending Elazer into a ZvT with a server disadvantage doesn't seem that good.

It feels like Inno can always be trusted to be consistent, though. Has he ever not been a top contender? I don't think it is so much Inno, but we've seen Maru, TY and Dream lose in TvZ too recently.

ZvZ with ping disadvantage is also awful. Ling/bane wars with worse ping than your opponent is a disaster.

For sure but I'd still give miko a decent shot on this map against TY. (Not against zest tho)

I dunno. I think Elazer would have been a good pick. I guess if TY came out instead of DRG, then they'd be screwed, but Elazer's ZvZ is strong, and if you manage to skip the ling-bane stage, the ping disadvantage isn't that awful. Gotta be a bit more careful with biles, but Elazer's muta play is pretty damn strong, and that isn't too ping dependent.
