When Astrea beats a player like Showtime, Heromarine or Elazer, people say "wow he is really popping off with these mad results". When Neeb does the same, it's a bit more like "maybe he isn't so washed up after all, but he is nowhere near his old self". On average, Neeb's slump-city form is still 6800 mmr and a 65-70% winrate but people gloss over the matches that he 'should' win and does win. Add that to the fact that Astrea's strongest matchup is pvp (by some distance) and Neeb's weakest matchup is pvp (also by some distance), and it's fair to say that Astrea has a shot in a match against Neeb. But on the basis of average performance, the gap is still sizeable. We'll see how DH goes for them | ||

The patches? Future made an account called "NeebPlayCSGO"  But on a more serious note, Neeb does well whenever protoss has stronger defensive capabilities. The last patch was generally not great for protoss, and neeb started adopting an unreasonably aggressive playstyle during the worst period of his slump (TSL qualifiers). I think it's reasonable to expect that he will do better this patch | ||
