I feel like terran always gets ahead with this opening, regardless of damage done. It's kind of insane.
It obviously has weak points where you could kill the terran but if protoss can't capitalise on that, you get a game like this.

Stats wins this no? 1 base terran play isnt specially great vs P and an oracle would murder Cure.

No that's actually extremely good for Cure.
We've seen a lot of 1 base terran success recently in this matchup.

It only got 5 SCVs due to Cure running the workers away I think. Tbf it could have cleared the mineral line and it wouldn't have made a difference.

It's mainly used as a counter to the aggressive proxy 2 rax reaper. But you're not too far behind if that doesn't happen either. In December/January there were a few weeks where Korean TvT was really dumb, and revolved around proxy 2 rax reaper, countered by defensive 2 rax reaper, countered by proxy 3 rax reaper so this was a bit of a throwback.

Someone at Afreeca really likes 4p maps. With only one map that's non-ladder it really doesn't stand a chance of making it through the vetoes (even if it wasn't a 4p map). Really what Afreeca should do is introduce 3+ new maps so they have to get practiced/played for bo5s.
