Come on, have you watched TOP today? Scarlett is not a random "foreigner", she's a mainstay in Code S right now.

Also, that's just Rogue:he is extremely inconsistent for such a top tier player, it's not the first time he gets eliminated early in a relevant tournament.

Also, post-Katowice champion slump for the nth year running. I don't know if it's purely a mental thing but the link is hard to deny at this point

Also explains, why serral is so consistent.

I'm not sure if he would, but I think that me and you guys would happily trade his consistency for a Katowice title at this point.

I'm sure he enjoys his HSC consistency against tier 2 koreans with 200 ping more than a Katowice title.

Haha Innovation is a tier 2 Korean now? Did you watch him play today?

This makes no sense whatsoever. I'm more of a Maru guy personally, but you Serral anti-fanboys are truly starting to be insufferable on this forum. If you've ever caught their streams (on the very rare occasions it's happened), their mechanics, multi-tasking and decision-making are clearly a cut above the rest. Like, if you actually play this game with any knowledge or ability, you can't help but appreciate their play.

They're both two of the best ever, and this constant snipping of them is pretty tired.

He's no more Tier 1 IMO. That's just Maru. Inno is T1 only on his better days, maybe he will return to T1, so far he has good tourneys to not fall completely to T2.

Edit> you can read it as T1,5. Sorry not sorry, compared to Dark or Maru Inno isn't either playing his best or his no more full T1
I imagine France should be able to take this unless Lilbow is busy practicing for Starcraft III. | KadaverBB is my fairy ban mother.

Rogue could have held in game 2, maybe he could have engaged a bit earlier during the ling/drone dance. But those engagements are decided by fractions. Game 1 basically was a BO win. If Rogue somehow scouts the lings early enough, he wins. But normally you just don't scout the main after seeing a hatch. Going "defensive" pool first would have helped, but that's a so-so opener, which puts you behind vs. macro hatch first.

I just watched these games, hahahahah, Rogue, what a noob lol. He was not impressed. Make NoRegret illegal.

Man, there have been some AMAZING games of Starcraft lately, both in SC1 and 2. It's a good time to be a Starcraft fan, truly.

Save yourself some time in two easy steps:

1. Remember that sometimes Innovation's form is super duper good.
2. Watch Scarlett vs Rogue.

You'll be all caught up within 30 seconds.

Rogue's reaction in Game 1 seemed odd/slow to me. Scarlett's hatch being almost 10 seconds later than his should have been a minor tell (at least more than making one set of lings) letting his queens get surrounded at the bottom of the ramp, late drone pulls. etc. Probably wouldn't have mattered much, but still.

WOW that was an amazing match from Scarlett, Rogue's dejected face said everything. Props to NoRegret for the build, and amazing work from Scarlett to execute it, particularly the 2nd game getting really wild with spine placements.

My god that was incredible to watch. Pure brutal cheese, that Rogue look of desolation will become a meme. Love it Scarlett, amazing. <3 I hope Rogue uses this loss to propel him back to the top.

That was the first 10-map GSL group (all five matches 2-0) since 2018 Season 1, and the game times of the last match were 3:30 and 4:15, so it was over fast. Yet, I thought it was one of the better nights of GSL SC2.

-Four dominant games of Inno showing his mechanical brilliance - a maestro a work, even Rogue looks overwhelmed
-Four quick drama-free show matches with past contender TOP/Kiwian - a chance to reminisce about the past
-A thrilling conclusion - Scarlett pulling off two of the most impressive cheese builds vs GSL/IEM Champ Rogue.

That is two big upsets in a row in Groups A and B, both at the expense of Jin Air, and I wonder if we see Creator advance as he is probably the weakest player in his difficult Group D.

I wonder if Koreans cheese foreigners more than any of the other three combinations (koreans cheese koreans, foreigners cheese koreans, foreigners cheese foreigners).

Game 1 was definitely not a BO win, you can hold that build with hatch first, otherwise everyone would just do it lol. There were obvious tells that something was up, and his decision to defend the bottom just made no sense. It's almost like he'd never seen it before because there's no way his response was objectively correct at all.

Game 2 was honestly the bigger BO win, that build is OP on that map and you should go Hatch > Pool, rather than Hatch > Gas > Pool to be safer on that map. Evo block doesn't hold it on the map and the spine (even tho Scarlett didn't do this) hits the natural from the high ground if you position it correctly, regardless of spawn positions. The only reason Game 2 was close at all is because Scarlett made mistakes with the execution, and even then, she won. If she'd executed a bit cleaner, it's very hard to defend.
