Wow Firefly beat RagnaroK, not bad.

Would be sick if Firefly became a real threat in CTC. Great to see the Chinese improving.
Also Cure 2-0 Maru. New top JA Terran confirmed.
And now TY-Dear is on, sweet

Yeah it's sick. I also wonder if Dream is going to be the first player to return from the military and become great again, now that Fantasy left us prematurely
e: Damn, Firefly did it!

Oh no Firefly marauders can't shoot up you shouldn't have turned the prism

One thing I noticed today especially now and when watching Ragnarok's PoV earlier is that Firefly's control is actually pretty damn clean.

He's been teammates with PartinG for a while now, maybe he's being groomed as a new member of the Roquefort Rascals?

I give a rumor: TIME couldn't participate in matches in 2019 due to the health. His next match will just be the finals of GPC 2019 in January, 2020.

TY sacrificing one marine to the liberator to give the tank time to unsiege and be lifted by the medievac was really something just TY and ByuN could think of (and do)... impressive!

Wow what a series of mistakes from TY out of nowhere to lose a game he was in a pretty good spot in.
|
Plenty of decent TVTs tonight :D

TY's play in this final so far is nothing short of bizarre. So many uncharacteristic mistakes.

Somehow 2-rax reaper in your own main has entered the Korean TvT meta as a relevant build order.
E: Wow, a reverse sweep by TY, that's a new one. And with only mech, too.

TIME was ahead of his time (despite losing against the build it's supposed to hard counter both times he faced it--during CTC and GSL vs the World).

Longest Kung Fu Cup weekly we've had? Maybe even single-day cup of this format (not counting big WCS Qualifiers etc). I remember a GO4SC2 Sunday that was 5.5 hours once. 6 hour cup starting at 8pm is pretty brutal for the players, but man the games were great, felt like the cast was over in less than an hour :'D

Yeah it was a really great day of starcraft. Chinese SC2 continues to deliver Thanks a lot for the cast.

Yeah it was extremely long but it was also a really sick day of games. Only shame is that all non-Chinese casters at all times were in the same games (except Wardi who managed to get into 2 at the same time). Though I guess it's fair in order to minimize downtime and make sure you actually get games. Still feel like we maybe missed a cool game or two at the end of it all. But a ton of good ones. That Firefly vs Dream game.

Yeah, problem is a couple of things.
1 - Each streams viewers typically want the same match because its the most popular players/interesting, you don't gain enough from casting "the other game" in a scenario like this
2 - Especially in KR events when the players have a tendancy to go without the casters, it's tough to justify skipping an open lobby to perhaps possibly get the next series along. Sometimes brackets aren't updated and players are already in the next round etc.

Cure has been murdering people in small online cups since june. Maybe a prelude of things to come? We've seen gumiho's gsl win, byun's 2016 preceded by them playing (and beating everyone) in tons of small online cups.

He's probably overall been looking like the strongest Terran in the off-season (though he didn't get through the WESG qualifiers which are maybe a bit more important than Kung Fu Cup). Biggest problem for him has been delivering where it counts. His offline play hasn't been anywhere near the level of his online play.
Trap said at HSC that other than Maru, TY and Cure, all Terrans are pretty much equal (which is to say irrelevant). It's definitely been looking like that for a while now. I'd say Cure is the most well-rounded of the trio atm. He doesn't really have a bad match-up whereas TY's TvZ and Maru's TvT usually stick out like sore thumbs. But it all comes down to whether he can make it happen when it counts and when the big money is on the line.

In fact, EnChant has joined DPG for a long time and even he invited Dark! However, we, as Chinese SC2 fans, are too lazy! I have seen "DPG.EnChant" for many times and we thought he was the false ID. If necessary, I just think EnChant joins DPG this day (April 2, 2020).

So dynamite bombed out in the GSL qualifiers only to 2-0 rogue an hour later.
