Parting winning was a huge surprise, the same as Dear elimination. And Gumis last game... damn still happy for soOjwa!

Is Parting advancing such a surprise? He did have a pretty good Super Tournament and seems to be on a general upward curve.
Dear completely falling apart was the real surprise, least for me anyway. I could have seen any combination going through depending how the chips fell, but Dear looking so far off his level was definitely something I hadn’t expected

what a lame game on turbo cruise.i m not sure if people tented to cheese on an unknown map maru vs life was also kinda anticlimatic bc of the last map

Not really. Parting is the immortal king because he has so much soul. Anytime immortals are in flavor Parting will do well.

He was less cheesy than soO today, and maybe Gumiho claws his way back and gets out if he doesn’t completely blindly proxy 3 rax when his tournament life is on the line
Or is it only cheesy bs when Protoss do it?

Why do some people even watch this game? If your enjoyment depends on styles you think are the correct way to play a game always prospering, and the players you think are better always winning, and your own particular race always winning, well SC2 is not going to ever satisfy you is it?
Parting’s looking in good shape, I don’t know how others perceive it, I thought his macro games in the Ro32 were his best games, same with this round where he did the MaxPax. If he’s looking better in longer games rather than his traditional bread and butter that makes him way more dangerous IMO.
He had a lead, not a huge one without the cancel but he transitioned properly and looked better than Gumiho the rest of the game, who himself was playing rather well.
I dunno I’ll have to go rewatch I just marathonned the stream there before posting here.
Why do people follow professional anything? Do you think fans must 100% support every aspect of the game or something? Are football or basketball fans forbidden from cheering for or against specific teams?
What a weird complaint.

Of course it adds to it, you can have your favourite players without trashing the entire game if your boy loses though.

PartinG looks so hot right now - super happy he made it to the ro8. I want to see him in his 2015 form again. Sexiest Protoss player in the world!

Reading the comments in this thread made me think watching Parting's games would be bad. They were great, I loved it! Odd day of games. Sometimes the weird ones are the most fun.

Seeing Parting micro makes me love SC2 again.
Just love his playing style :x

Who was trashing the entire game? If other people disliking cheese or Parting or whatever bothers you, that's your problem.

If other people disliking cheese or Parting or whatever bothers you, that's your problem. Many people dislike the state of the game. The issue with sports is that they don't change the rules much and if they do they try to be reasonable and cater everyone. There's no sport on the planet even remotely close to the balancing in SC2. That's why people downright here hate the state of the game because it's not good and it's not good for months and all we hear is either "they need to play better", or "Maru is winning, everything is fine" or "...................."(this is the silence from Blizzard).
