With soO and RagnaroK, Chivo looks like a new team for the next season!

According to xiaose (source), because season 2 has twelve teams, and there is not enough time for a big round-robin of all 12 teams for the rest of this year, so it is decided that they will be divided into 2 groups of six teams. The top 4 of season 1 would be seeds, and the rest would be chose randomly, which the result is:
Group 1: LP, Newbee, Brave Star, IG, Jin Air, KaiZi
Group 2: TSG, P1, OG, Psi, Chivo, Dark

For the new 4 teams, Brave star's roster would be:Cyan, Hurricane and Dream
Chivo should have soO, RagnaroK, the Chinese Taipei player ExpecT
Dark is the merge of another 2 teams: Alpha X and Black Night, which has Armani, Chinese Daydreamer, and American Astrea who lives in Korea now.
KaiZi is founded by 4 billionaire idiots who are also scboy's friends and one of them is also xiaose's cousin-in-law. A lot of people thought it was just a rich man's joke, but at last the team was founded as a serious team. The 4 idiots have a lot of money and I heard that they have contacted a lot of well known players including Innovation, TY and maybe Dark, but there isn't a lot of available players right now before the well known players' contract expire. I only heard that they have Bunny and Super right now.

Each group will play their own round robin. The offline playoff would be 5 teams (top 2 of each group, and the third of each group will play an additional match) as a KotH format. The playoff match itself will use a different bo2 kof format. If one player could defeat his opponent 2-0, he will continue to face next opponent; if it ends 1-1, then both teams have to choose another player to play the next game.

More detail official information would be announced soon.

billionaire idiots are responsible for a lot of traditional sports leagues, too, so I see nothing wrong with this

In fact, the four billionaires split into two teams because two people thought it would be better not to join if they couldn't sign the best players.

This is my first post in TL (I've only been following sc2 since f2p, I'm a pleb I know) so don't be to hard on me.

Xiaose knows this a lot better than me ofc, but since BlackNight hired SpeeD too, and they seemed to be very hyped about it, isn't more likely to be him playing instead of Astrea? I mean, Astrea is a very good player indeed, but I think he has to evolve a lot to beat koreans, which means he would only be able to beat chinese players and Daydreamer is probably not the right player to fight versus koreans.

Alpha X hired DynaMite too...I don't know a thing about him except that he is sharing an apartment with Dream, but I don't think he is at a good level yet. So my question is...what is Alpha X adding to BlackNight other than Astrea and maybe money?

Another thing is that maybe there aren't a lot of good koreans players without a team, but this is also an opportunity for some B grade Gm players maybe?

You won't always have all your players available. Depth is nice.

Top 10-15 players who are thought to be currently teamless, and their Aligulac scores, who are from Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Japan;

Bunny (2304 KR T, KaiZi?)
Polt (2144 KR T, in US?)
Super (2002 KR P, KaiZi?),
Spear (1981 KR T),
Penguin (1928 KR Z),
Losira (1847 KR Z),
BreakingGG (1695 CH Z)
TOP (1624 KR T),
Lemon/MOMOrning (1610 TW Z)
Seed (1568 KR P),
PsiArc (1547 JP T)
Chick (1535 CH T)
ButAlways (1524 TW P, in ANZ?)
Asuna (1473 CH P)

For score comparisons: 2300 is around the level of Kelazhur, Namshar, or Parting, 2000 is Astrea, DRG, and Bomber, 1800 is Semper, Risky, or Probe, 1500 is HuT (Australian Terran), Bioice, or Rotti.

Polt is in Korea, don't think he will compete anywhere this year. Maybe 2020.
