What would be very nice to have though, is a marathon table summing up all the results of all NWs. On team level as well as individual level.

This. Its better for the tournament and SC2 as a whole when Inno isnt killing everyone dead.

Major played really well, but you just have to wonder how seriously koreans take this event. I didnt expect soO to lose.

You can't really blame team Korea, the best players either didn't sign up or didn't get enough votes and now they're stuck with a team that's gonna have competitive matches against some of the other nations (mainly the ones with good Terrans).

I don't understand where this "Korea has a weak lineup this year" narrative comes from. Granted, MMA has just recently started playing full-time again and is not in top form, but INnoVation and soO are easily top 5 in their respective races.
Stopped watching ESL content in 2022 when the company was acquired by Savvy Gaming Group. Also object to sponsorships by the U.S. Air Force. Thanks for the lively discussions about sportswashing. StarCraft II is not for me anymore.

And soO's ZvT is by far his weakest match-up so it's quite possible for players like SpeCial and uThermal to take him down. Even just a strong Protoss instead of MMA (while keeping INno and soO) would have made this line-up way more powerful. Although MMA is the entertainment so...

Both games against Special were superb though. Even though he lost he was in a terrible place on Abiogenesis as well as Acid Plant. Abiogenesis he won and threw after a lot of crazy stuff happening. Acid plant his initial defence was very weak and he tried to battle his way back into it which isn't easy against a Terran like Special. I don't think he looked weak there even though he lost.

All the sad sacks with their excuse mongering every time a Korean loses to a foreigner are pathetic. It's 5am! They're not taking it seriously! Inno and soO aren't really that good! The foreigner just got lucky! Are you kidding me? Maybe start some nonsense about jet lag or something, you left that one out.

Here's a fact: this Mexico vs Korea match was 10 times more entertaining and intense than the GSL semi's and finals combined.
