This tournament is great because it has a global open bracket. Those used to be standard fare in this game and now it's rare. We see the results of it though, the foreign hype around Serral is real because he fucking earned it. We have big names that didn't even get to the group stages while surprises like Impact, and Hurricane did and showed great games along the way. This tournament is the way SC2 e-sports SHOULD be. It's the way MLG and Dreamhack used to be. It's sad and in my opinion very bad for the scene that it's so rare now. | ||
