The whole advantage of round robin groups is that it's not just about whether you can beat specific people but your overall ability measured against multiple opponents. It seems odd that people are so eager to revert the result back to a single matchup.

In my opinion weighing series more than single maps is better, thus I like head 2 head tie-breaker before map score. StarCraft maps do not offer an equal chance for every player in every match-up, so this leaves big room for chance to affect the crucial single map wins or losses.

Maybe, but the map score is indicative of your overall performance rather than just a single series. The map score does not weigh an individual map as more important but rather all the maps that a person played. Sure, it came down to two maps in score for group B, but it means overall, Hurricane played better than uThermal. With 3 wins, 2 losses and h2h tiebreaker, a person could go 8-4 (3 (2-0) and 2 (1-2)) and lose to a person with 6-7 (3 (2-1) and 2 (0-2)). So despite one player playing much better than the other, with h2h, arguably the better player loses. Now, you can tie with map score, but you have a range of 5 maps. With h2h, you either lost or won, and it comes down to one, maybe two, maps. Besides, it's far too easy to have a multiple-person tie going with wins, losses, and head to head. Look at group B. With head to head, Dark, Hurricane, and uThermal are tied with one loss and one win to each other. It thus goes to map score, and we have the same result.

Other than that, I can vouch for all other mentioned Solar games here, even though I can't remember which ones were amazing. His games were mostly good to watch, after all.
