Theres got to be a way
Fungals + Parasitic bomb.
soO just didn't have the tech to go up against Rogue's army. He'd have needed at least a greater spire and higher infestor / viper numbers. He also got outplayed by Rogue in the harassment game. Rogue's drops and burrowed runbys were amazing.
So happy for Rogue. Everyone who complains about players choking against him? Jealous of Rogue's ability to not choke, apparently. Good games, deserving champion and great storyline! Rogue fighting!

ZvZ final, I actually watched because I had to see soO finally win. But he loses. Crap.
See SKT getting trashed on was the highlight of my day.
Samsung Taliyah is going to look great.
I've never watched LoL but hearing that SKT lost makes me happy
Korea also won the Overwatch but were disappointing compared to last year

No one saying Rogue played badly. But to deny that TY, soO and even Inno choked hard in this event is to deny facts

TY didn't choke, but damn mech doesn't win games / series when you are not ahead at top level. He should have cheesed more decisively three games in a row or smth.

TY making 5 panic ebays, and following it up by not walling of any of his bases, and losing most of his forces accross the map to banelings? Sounds like a classic TY-is-up-2-0 choke to me

today was at least ok for me cause i was cheering for Samsung....oh yeah and seeing korea win the overwatch thing again makes me happy
Yeah seeing Korea dominate yet another game is amazing, but I don't care that much about Overwatch.
Samsung is a cool team so it helps a bit.
Well, Rogue had an amazing end of the year so this win fits. INno forever bad at Blizzcon though.
i tried watching some Overwatch today and yesterday and it was better than i expected, I'm still skeptical at this point but who knows, I always liked Samsung's sc2 team so that carried over to their league team when i started watching last year
Argh, so sad about finals result. I used to root for soO to lose in finals because it made for such an interesting story, but gosh darnit I just want to see him succeed on the big stage at least once.

This is a ridiculous and terrible thing to say, from someone who basically admits they haven't watched the game much to see Rogue's current level of ability
Rogue had to beat Inno and herO to win the GSL Super Tournament to even get to Blizzcon and had to beat herO again and TY and soO to win.
And the whole idea that "well this is a diminished era of SC2 so Rogue's achievement is diminished" is stupid when you consider the money at stake in this tournament. Even if there were only 10 progamers left their incentive to prepare and perform at the highest level has never been more.
If Innovation had won, would you have diminished his accomplishment in the same way, or is it his birthright to win and therefore right and proper?
To me it's admirable that Rogue is able to do stuff like win 3 straight against TY when up against it, very hard not to tilt or take stupid chances when in that situation. The fact that Rogue won so many game 5 and game 7 deciding games is impressive to me, when you win a bunch of those in a row it's not a coincidence that you just got lucky.
If you want to inform yourself, watch the VOD of Rogue beating Inno and herO in the semis and finals of GSL Super Tournament and tell me he's not good:
Yeah the whole thing complaining about all these GSL heavyweights "choking" is stupid. That's competition. The player who performs to expectations DIDN'T choke and that deserves commendation. Just because someone was up at match point and lost two or three games to lose doesn't mean that they were necessarily on tilt, sometimes the player who was behind simply stepped up to the occasion to win.

Sometimes it's a little bit of both.
Normally I'd agree with this, but you can't deny obvious choking when it happens. TY completely tilted like every time he's up 2-0, soO's play was a train wreck towards the end, and Inno just went full Inno.
And I'm not saying Rogue didn't deserve to win btw, but it's still sad when it happens like this
I think the commentating was some of the worst in blizzcon finals history. I dont know if its how the mic was positioned or what but they were screaming into the mic and it sounded like they were going through puberty with the voice cracking, completely unnecessary.
Rogue making the comment/dig about soO having problems in finals during the pre match intros was not cool. Probably just part of the mind games but I just don't like it.
