Also soO is the only player to make multiple GSL finals without a title right? No other finalist loser has made it back to finals beside mvp, who had his GSL wins right? EDIT: lol nvm MKP exists | ||

Coming into this, unless you factored in the possibility of Gumiho choking due to it being his first final (which he didn't) he was totally the favorite based on form, playstyle and past history vs. soO. == For the second question, aside from soO and Marineking, ByuL has also made multiple GSL finals (and even consecutive) without claiming the gold ;; | ||

Making balance claims based solely on winners isn't very productive, because it's such a small sample and it's heavily influenced by who the specific players are. For example, in last three years (in you "more than 2 years since Zerg won"), there were 4 Terrans, 5 Protosses and 5 Zergs in a GSL finals. Yes, the Zergs lost more than won, but is that really so telling? | ||

So, 7 zerg in the top 16 of the year. 2nd is a thing. | ||

They get the most appearances in finals though and if you want zerg to get buffed then the EU terran and protoss need to get good. blizz didn't buff zerg for the whole of 2016 because EU was mostly ZvZ | ||
