the player-viewer ratio is good for sc2 the problem isn't that the scene is not interesting enough we just don't have enough players.


I mean there are multiple things the scene would need. I am not saying X,Y or Z are the only thing important. Saying that players who are more entertaining on their own aren't a factor (at all?) is kinda naive though.
Ofc a bigger playerbase would help, but so would a lot of other things including players who are actually a bit more interesting when they open their mouth. faceless korean, faceless foreigner is real to some extent

Do other games have more interesting players?
Many of the coolest moments in sc2 happen due to worker harassment

Well i don't even know if you are serious (just assume this is true). I am not saying that bigger personalities cannot develop still, but it's worth pointing out that player personalities are a big factor, not just gameplay, playerbase, etc.

So, I think it is not insignificant that this horde of zergs populate player lists while players like Harstem and Showtime can't make it into ro32.

come on. foreigner tournament results have 0 to do with balance just like master league population has nothing to do with balance.
Balance is only relevant at the highest level aka in korea.

I would say yes, also just more effort put into additional content like video vlogs and stuff like that. Thing EG did back in the day. (also in other games when people stream it is easier to talk to chat, etc. That matters as well i think)
