He needs success in korea to be crowned that and it actually have some weight to it. Imagine if he got into gsl playoffs.

He won Kespa Cup...

Substantial success in Korea then, I should clarify. Beating two poorly performing zergs and a couple PvPs against koreans that were new to that style isn't mind blowing. Performing well in an actual starleague against top players is something no foreigner has done (for a very very long time)

Jinro ro4 in the GSL seems like a long time ago.

But it's 23 very passionate people.

And well dressed.

If we're going by how Stuchiu ranked them I doubt Neeb would make top 5 because he hasn't beaten enough Koreans which was a large part of how he ranked players

Kespa Cup is only one tournament, consistency matters too

he doesn't have the opportunity to face koreans often so that isn't entirely fair.
And he has the single biggest achievement of all foreigners.

It's not entirely fair but that's how he'd rank it. Also iirc Stuchiu has pretty low opinions about the kill level of Korea in the era of Neeb's Kespa Cup compared to 2013-14

I don't get how being new to his playstyle cheapens his achievement.
Is Life's first GSL win worth less because his opponents were new to his playstyle?

Well, if you consider the age our 2 finalists were back when Jinro did that...

To be fair SC2 in 2011/2012 was a completely different game
perhaps we could have multiple best foreigner, maybe one for WoL, HotS, LotV ?

anyway, gogo Neeb!!

Its not neebs fault, but its true. Stats and trap tried to copy the disruptor blink style, and were hopeless using it because the korean pvp meta was different. And a gsl is a different level to kespa cup. Stats and trap were the only good players neeb even went up against. 2 players isn't enough for me to hype him up.

Now if he went on a rampage and beat a bunch of top 8 koreans then i would be 100% on the hype train but its yet to happen. We must wait until gsl s3.

I'm not trying to hate on neeb but the kespa cup win is arguably the weaker of his championships. And I'm willing to crown him GOAT foreigner if he does sick in a starleague or maybe blizzcon
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs
