Honestly I feel bad for protoss right now and that doesn't usually happen. The hell do you do against libs?

lets just keep calm and let the meta settle and protoss figure out how to deal with liberators. Paraphrasing a bit of DK here

"We don't believe that bl/infestor is impossible to beat. The ladder shows 50/50 winrates at every level except the highest. Multiple Terrans have won tournaments and players should try to emulate two of the greatest players to ever touch the mouse." - David Kim

Is it time? Is it time TL called for David Kim to be fired, so every other person who has played this game can agree, ask for the same, and we can move on? Can I have the game I love back?

I feel like I am writing every other post in this LR thread.

Mebe I am dreaming.

hell if I know, I just love the hilarity of those updates in hindsight.

... but you did know at the time it was broken too, right? Or were you on the "let the meta settle bandwagon"?

Listen you don't watch YugiOh win 2v4 base against Parting and think everything is fine and dandy.

real money comes from upsets

Think about it this way. The bookmakers thought that it was 50-50 to whether Neeb would win 2 games (or more) against Ty.

So betting on a 3-0 win is actually an upset.

Also, I think most of these games were like 75%+ at least for both Ty and Maru to win. Never really felt like Neeb and Showtime had any "win condition".

I feel like game 3 was winnable for ShoWTimE had he not overextended.

Looks like the same as always to me.
Except there is no one foreign above all the others, just a healthy number losing 3-0

Gap is increasing right now if you look at the performance of top korean terrans. Especially Maru and Innovation are out of this world.

I feel Ty looks slightly worse tbh. Also lost one game against Showtime.

I still think Neeb, Scarlett and Showtime had the potential to do better.
triple 3-0 was unexpected.
In PvZ the zerg can make the situation spire out of control but protoss can adept to the situation.

I've seen a decent amount of gap is closing comments. Don't really care as there isn't enough international competition to verify it one way or another.

What we can do is see if Maru will make TY choke.

Normally I'd favor Neeb over Showtime, but with how he's played Showtime is definitely the favorite. And the English stream seems to be able to tell when games end to start working again.

They really do. Sad they didn't show it. It'll be a long while till the two protoss get another chance in an offline tournament sadly

I think you just have to rely on the eye test at this point. Look at the play styles between Koreans vs foreigners and judge from that in addition to what little tournaments we have where both good Koreans and foreigners are playing against each other. The increased amount of streaming definitely helps.

Yeah but its like if he didn't do X then maybe he would have a chance. But over the rest of the game he also needs to avoid doing Y and Z.

And these koreans can just force potential errors over lessor skilled players all the time.

Right now it seems that all-ins are almost a non-factor when playing vs protoss and thus its alot easier to rely on the favourite to win.

Yeah, i mean it was not the result i expected.
If i had to predict, i would throw 3-1s.

As for TY, i would never see a 16-0 coming.

Because it's a bo7 and an hour and a half is a reasonable amount of time for a bo7?
