This could have been the epic last fight to get to olympia, this is just a 2nd zone tournament with lot of easy money for Showtime. I'm watching it only because there's no SC2 to watch today beside this one. I think this topic has been discussed to death. No one is arguing these players are code s level. Blizzcon is not the tournament where best players duke it out. All players will represent their countries/regions there. these players may not be korean (except hydra) but they still are some of the best in the world.. any of these players, except maybe 1 or 2 of them, are capable of giving great bo5/bo7 or even winning it vs the absolute top koreans okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves... have snute scarlett showtime neeb and uthermal not all shown that they are capable of beating the best in the world? Out of these maybe Neeb could compete with top 4 of GSL/SSL in a non-mirror.
it's my understanding that scarlett is in top form at the moment and is incredibly fearsome
and snute, while inconsistent, has beaten "top 4 of gsl/ssl" players many times throughout his history
uthermal and showtime have shown what kind of level they are on.. which is a similar level to these other players listed
realistically, top foreigners don't actually get a chance to play the gsl/ssl koreans in a tournament environment very often... doesn't mean they can't beat them though

But honestly I don't see any of them winning a BO5/BO7 in a GSL/SSL setting where games matters the most and koreans have been specifically practicing for that player. This Noonius guy seems to be quite reasonable (except of the hate of Maru) :-) in fact, the times when Snute and Scarlett were invited to SSL they "randomly" drew the hardest possible opponents and got destroyed. Also they invited MacSed and gave him Rain. And Jim who got Maru :D

That might be a bit too one-dimensional.

But hey, at least Jim won a map.

With her lower seed she has to play an extra match, buuuut the player she plays against should be weaker. So really she was asking to get a harder opponent for her first match.
