Currently on hold. We are restructuring the tournament for a better format.

Why whine about the maps until after the map pool change? This is an event intended to help mapmakers identify the flaws and gather feedback from players.

The map pool will be voted on during or after each month. 3 Maps will be swapped out each month. Though NO CURRENT LADDER MAPS will be played.

More on versions: Mapmakers, if you notifies us via Twitter / email / our discord server / forum PM / etc. We will use the version you prescribed. Add the "[GExp]" tag in your newly uploaded maps for ease of finding them. (Admins will still help the players to find the maps regardless).

QUICK TUTORIAL for Finding Opponents and Uploading replays (you can report to the admins if you can't upload replay at least for this cup, map makers certainly do appreciate some data).

IMPORTANT: With the new interface you MUST join the chat channel "ESL NA". The command is "/join ESL NA", and you must pay attention to how you type "ESL NA" do not add any extra space after the NA, it will take you to the wrong channel.

We are also looking for more Admins post below if u are interested in becoming an ESL NA Admin.

You can also have a go at casting for our tournaments just post myself, Bloodyrafe or Ascarecrow if you are interested in casting any of the ESL tournaments.

If you request it. I'll update the link to the maps in the cups description.

The goal is to make better maps. Mapmakers feel free communicate with us as to which version to use!

a bit curious, why would this use 3/4 of the ladder maps which will be on ladder soon, and if the point is to include the new ladder maps, where is galactic?

This is the first cup. The map pool was discussed and determined last week before the season announcement. Our internal discussion determined that we need to include some upcoming ladder map for testing for testing at least this week (and to ease player anxiety). When season 3 comes around the map pool for this cup will be changed as well to not include ladder maps.

As to galactic, ~~it is generic enough we felt not warrant further testing~~, it is a good map and we felt it is stable.

If anything, Galatic is the one map that needs actual testing given the rock removal changed.

We will include it in the next week's tournament. The map pool was based on older versions sans Blizzedit.

I mean if you ask me, Caldeum is a horrific map and I have much better work to choose from. But it's ultimately up to you guys, it's super awesome that you're doing this.

We just happened to use TLMC maps as a base for choosing, PM me or email me or use the form above to nominate some maps that will be played next month!
