I mean you can kinda do both, its a bit like Terran mech or Bio in PvT in HotS, you need to learn different timings of the egg AND if you want to theoretically make the perfect egg and become the egg super world champion you should use boiling water, but if you are okay with egg masters league you can do the other one aswell and just have to learn the timing :0

It's also time consuming. I spent around 10 hours in work(with traveling). Add to that 1 hour of cooking, I would spend half of a day on something I don't enjoy but I have to do. If I can scrap an hour of it I do it. I am not a student anymore, neither unemployed. I have few hours of my free time and I am going to juice the most of it

ultras are such a weird unit. when they win they win hard and feel OP, but if you end up in a situation where you don't have fungals or a big enough army lead to charge forward they can still get kited and killed by bio

this is true when youre in a lead as curious was, but from an even game terran can absolutely kite off of creep and kill ultras for free and it's really bad. not saying they're not really strong, i just think they're an awkwardly designed unit
Tough to defend against the combo of corrosive bile and ultras. Tanks and Liberators are the only units that give terran a defender's advantage, but they get really whipped by the ravager puke.

He had tech: just the wrong tech. He went from disruptor into colossus, where I think he should've gone disruptor into storm. The colossus were just not useful vs. that number of liberators. I think the snipe on the twilight forced him into colossus, since he thought he couldn't get the templars to build up energy fast enough. In the end nothing worked out.

Curious should've pushed earlier after wiping the army in the middle. Giving Terran time to get liberators/siege tanks is just suicide, you can't break them.

I wish Curious remembered his Nydus that game. Esp when the Terran was almost purely liberator/ghost, there would've been nothing but marauders to respond to crackling nydus backdoors into the production line.

you would think corruptors would crunch liberators in all situations but it's not that straightforward. you really really really have to spread and have better numbers and ideally some support

There are too many opening s-tabs in the quotes, again messing tag hierarchy. If you put your post independently, or remove all the s-tabs in quotes, it works. The parser has mysterious ways.

It's in the game. But battlecruisers are super rare to see and BC blink costs more energy than Yamato (which is almost always better). The only pro game I've seen it used in was TY vs Soulkey when TY was in an unlosable position.

T and P are still getting mechanically adjusted away from constant bio/stalker sentry play against zerg. it's only just now that the proper styles are flowing down to the lower levels of ladder, and as more players figure out how lotv works the ultra wrecking ball is becoming more figured out.
it's strong, i'm not going to lie, chitinous could probably be reduced by 1 armor. but i think terrans arent used to being able to do something other than bio into bio into bio and still win. in lotv bio can be transitioned, the game has changed, and it's mostly because of liberators
terrans instinctively think that if they tech up and play defensive zerg will just make 80 banelings and kill their army + planetaries while taking the map, but in lotv thats not as strong anymore

On the other hand, we used to have fun with that. We were sending to our colleague's gmail emails with "forks forks forks forks" in white text on white background so he couldn't see it. For several months his only add was about where to buy cutlery(? is that the proper word for spoons, forks and knives?) and he didn't know why. He got mad about it in few weeks(kinda mad/curious/entertained mixture)

yeah, Forte is still in the game because of Storks prism control. With better control Stork should have won by now Good micro in that fight by Stork though, he's looking solid overall, just sloppy mistakes from time to time. And bad macro now, so many ressources. He should be maxed out

so before that big engagement stork had even supply but 1400 mins and 800 gas. With that in units he would have been maxed. And then he attacked into a terran who had the high ground for some reason. Stork should have won that game easily. Threw it away with macro and decision making. His micro seems to be fine though, good combination of force fields+storm and focussing tanks

Stork probably wanted to magnificently win with a game ending storm drop on top of a Terran army on the highground. And then everything exploded.

one of the things I love about LotV is that it actually makes sense to evac bases rather than fight to the last man. In Hots you almost always had to fight in these situations.

this is a great game. i know it's not perfect, but this is what great lotv games look like. there's a lot to do. and this was far better than hots tvp.

i think this game is emblematic of how lotv is mechanically more difficult and we will be seeing a lot more games lost through mistakes by top players.
and i don't think that's bad. i think we should reevaluate what we consider "good" and "bad" play. lotv is really pushing the limits of these players' abilities to multitask and control their armies against powerful burst units like liberators, adepts, disruptors, ravagers, etc
stork consistently gets supply leads in the early game and yet loses or barely wins, doesn't bode well for him, he can't rely on getting 20 supply lead every game the first 7 minutes.

Stork makes a lot of questionable decisions, his macro isn't that great mid/late game and he loses every warp prism he makes. If his opponents don't get themselves killed, eventually those things catch up to the old man.

What if it is changed so that corrosive bile cannot damage buildings? They are so good at destroying pylons and depowering buildings especially in the early game.

so happy that we can actually watch this even if we missed the live show. Still sad that stork lost, but watching all of the games, you can see mechanically he isn't quite top top GSL level. He seemed to play much better in the inno game, could just be not enough practice/tired?
So right now I think the popular opinion would be the top three kr zergs, with Life not participating, are Dark, soO and Solar but I think Curious could realistically take that third spot from Solar, he was better at the end of HotS after all. Same way I'd expect Inno and Maru to start performing well again.
