I want to see what new strategies Terrans come up with on this map but somehow it's just a lot of 3 rax bunker rushes. Not even floating the CC to the natural

Super killed himself, if he had kept those adepts at home instead of shading past the bunkers he would have taken out the bunkers and marines with the immortal and not have lost the nexus. From there he could have just 2 base pushed and crushed TY. Sad really

He killed the 4th base and a lot of drones at the third. He knew he was too far behind so he wanted to go for a base trade. However, Curious was already basically at his ramp so he got to his production a little bit too fast.
Honestly, if curious had made a few decision mistakes at the end there it was still possible for jjakji to win with the tank micro and island base.

I think protoss is really favored early-midgame. Robo/twilight still catches everything if executed correctly, whether it be blink/obs or DT drop. I think terrans have to start playing more like protoss did when they were struggling in macro games - switch up your builds, throw them for a loop, deny scouting, proxy things, all that.

In mid-late game he's floating gas too. He has bad macro, but it doesn't matter. Now imagine Zest with stellar macro... Unstoppable force.

Wasn't really baserace because stats didn't have enough to finish keen and instead turned around to defend. But Keens army was just stronger. Has nothing to do with terrans being good at baseraces, it wasn't even one
Hopefully TY will win. I have both TY and aLive on my FPL team but I also have Losira and Leenock on and they haven't really been delivering But on the other hand, I also want aLive to win since he lost today and another lost will not be good for his worth.

Honestly though, I don't have the time to hold one. I'd love to play in one, but organizing I can't do
hm so what would I need to do to organize one? Make a thread about it, add everyone to the tournamet who's interested. Maybe Ro16 with GSL format (so groups of 4 with double elimination and then single elimination from the Ro8 onwards). Then make a SC2 group where everyone needs to join. And update the results. Also probably find someone who can stream and cover the games. Would probably be useful to set a schedule ahead of time so that everyone who wants to join knows right from the start that he should only sign up if he actually has the time to play. That about covers it, right?

It was for sure, without tankivacs, the basetrade would never have happened.

It was a close, action packed, back and forth game.
I'm not sure it was a good game though...
For instance it's far behind imho of the top TvT games of HotS.
Anyway the main issue with tankivac is that what you've seen today is pretty much the best you will ever see if tankivacs are not removes, and it will always be the same game over and over, and over.
Guys only because a game with tancivacs was awesome doesn't mean that we should keep them in the game. It's still a bad game mechanic, especially for tvt.

I think boost is a way bigger issue in TvT tbh. On Ruins of Seras you're not likely to go mech in TvT anyway, and marine/tank vs marine/tank on maps like these was already a shitfest in HotS. Doom drops into doom drops into doom drops, the only difference being that the tanks were dropped unsieged.

Don't let the action fest come from tankivac fool you guys. TvT just like PvP, painful to play but pleasure to watch.But i guess right now piority on player is better. The only problem is if we remove tankivac then TvT basically the same like hots or wol but i have high hope about liberator' ground mode come into play when you can't lift tankivac anymore.At least i hope there is different.

Well yeah the overall 'problem' is the medivac itself. I still think dropship + healing (and then even an added boost) wasn't the best decision overall. But that's another topic i guess.

What's so awful about hots TV and thou ? It's perfect we had every unit composition , from mech vs bio, bio vs bio, much vs mech and biomech vs everything, lotv will always be marine tank medivac , I think in the long-run it gets boring

Exactly. Strategy-wise, this game was awefull. There was no "strategy", it's get out with your tankivac and try to take an abusive position at any cost. TY gained a lead because he was the first to go out with tankivacs and took a positon on Alive's main. The only thing you can do in TvT is play marine tankivac. There is no strategy, no thinking.
And don't get me wrong, that was a very impressive display of terran mastery. Action packed, all over the place... but that was because the two players were so evenly matched, not because they droped tanks.

Aside from that tankivac debate, it's really cool that KT truted TY as an ace again, and that he could win, not only it erases last week's loss but also it will boost his confidence.
That was such an awesome game. Not going to lie, I'll miss watching TY micro his tankivacs like this, it has improved terran in all match up in my opinion bot to watch and, from my experience as Zerg, to play against, it's unfortunate to see that it will be gone.
The best thing about this is that we now have 2 reliable (pretty much i think) ace players. One terran and one protoss. Not sure if we can get the zerg players to that level though haha, but that's not even needed as long as we have at least two races able to ace.

Agreed completely that having a second reliable ace player is awesome. I did have to think for a moment to realize what Zerg players are on the team, though.
Leenock isn't looking very sharp, and Losira is hit-and-miss. I wonder if either of them will raise their level considerably after having joined KT. Would love to see it, but I have my doubts.
Still, today's games were great and I loved seeing TY redeeming himself after the last ace match.
I'm so freaking glad that this went to the ace match. Because otherwise we would have been deprived of one of the most action packed TvTs ever in LotV. Sad for afreeca that they lost but they shouldn't be ashamed of their perfomance. They played damn well. They just didn't have an answer for TY.
