Player qualifies and takes a spot.
Doesn't show up and gets walked over.
This is the most NA Starcraft thing to exist. I wish you made it easier for me to like you, NA scene. I've cheered for you for so long to succeed and do well, and I still want it to happen. But come on.

If you are talking about NoRegret, he isn't qualified for the season finals yet.

But come on. The time of this bracket wasn't announced before the qualifier... The only way the organizers do things works is if everyone participating has a completely open schedule to commit to SC2. Completely unreasonable. Some absences are definitely the fault of players but the people running things do not make it easy.

If NoRegret knew he couldn't make it he should have said something beforehand.

Do we know know the reason for his absence? Because unless we do I would think we should hold off any judgement against him.

If NoRegret knew he couldn't make it he should have said something beforehand. And then the next guy who thought he now had his weekend free has to clear his schedule again to make it. And what are the chances someone knows 100% they won't make it anyway? Best to just keep your spot and if you don't make it, apologize that extenuating circumstances kept you from showing up. No loss from the player. Unless the organizers are gonna pull the old "announce a rule after the fact" trick to punish a behavior that they didn't have the foresight to prevent. The point of announcing dates and times far in advance is to give players more time to make arrangements and reduce the chances of these problems occurring.

JonSnow 3-2'd Masa? That surprised me a little. Masa's TvZ is usually excellent

Masa kept dying to roach/ravager pushes.
He tried hellbat timings and got crushed in both those games to the counter attack, first time by just lings right before his armory finished, 2nd time was game 5 and he just died to the counter attack after his hellbat timing to fended off.
Don't remember the other game he lost, I think he just lost to a roach/ravager comp though.
