WHY DO FOREIGNERS WITH SO MUCH POTENTIAL QUIT SO EARLY? SC2 is the greatest esport, but there's no money in it for the players New WCS has tons of money for good foreigners, and he just showed he's a good foreigner. The problem is that Marinelord has to think what he is going to do when he is 50-60-70-80 years old and no money in the bank...
I think it's fair to say that like in every country, not going after an education in France is a very risky move.

Unless you have a lifelong career chance, which I don't believe is a given in Western esports (especially not SC2) right now, you should focus on school at that age. If he doesn't do it in the coming years he probably will never.

I've watched countless Parting/Innovation games for years. I've never seen them make so many sloppy mistakes - it looked like they didn't even care. - Innovation would never send medivacs with only 2 tanks into a viking especially without any marine support. Also, when he won the major engagement and left his position at ML's 3rd, that was a clear mercy move. He scanned and saw more tanks, but like 6 marines. He could have easily dropped onto the tanks and game over or moved over to the left and harass him. He had the medivacs to evacuate to the east easily. - Parting had 1.3k minerals at one point in his revival game and wasn't supply blocked. He also did minimal harassment with his phoenix. That is not the Parting I've seen for years and years. I doubt this was 'rigged', but I can assure you the koreans either did not care/try, were exhausted (it's 7AM there) or wanted to give France the win for the bigger picture of eSports. Life would never lose to Sjow MC would never lose to SpaceMarine top-form herO, Rain and sOs would never lose to Snute Hydra would never lose to Lilbow etc Every single one of those losses have been acredited to lag bad food jetlag bad chairs and unfair advantages to the foreigner. sjow vs life was a match of incredible feat fuck you

I have also thought this as weird however, there is no doubt that MLord handles every single thing in perfect way and putting perfect build order as well
I guess the Korean just panic.. I never watch Innovation throw his troops just like that They might be sleepy but if you're taking this tournament seriously, you could manage your resting time better considering there is no other Korean tournament that is going on right now
gratz for France.. what a time to be alive

So while something like that would be awesome, I think the foreign scene also needs more smaller offline stuff. Well live would be better for sure, but that is pretty much impossible to do in the west. Smaller offline events surely help, but it's also less competetive. Well the thing is, if you make them too big, what happens is that the experienced players just flood in and take it. And for the foreign scene, everything is more fragmented. In Korea there's right now 7 teams (to our knowledge). The rest of the world has way more. Getting teamleagues to work is a piece of work with that.

I think this is the most salty post on this thread, this is truly an achievment considering the amount of bitterness in here. Gratz! :D
And even bigger gratulation to the french team, wp MarineLord.

I'm going to go back to school at 23. It's not that outlandish of an idea, especially if you can have an interesting career before that.
