Has anyone downloaded the ding it app and can confirm its not adware?
|
Too bad you need to install something to watch...

Thanks for the reply, I'll sit this one out.

Octoshape website says: Is completely malware free Is completely spyware free Is designed and built using the best security practices
Shall we believe ?
|
I can't confirm that it isn't malware, but I have downloaded it quite a while ago, and aside from inconsistently being able to view the stream, I haven't noticed any problems.
|
I guess the Iphone app wouldn't have malware, would the android one?
As for PC not risking it.

Edit: And now no sound on the English stream.

So Taeja is back? i thought he retired to go to the army?
|
Is the stream lagging for anyone else? Only the video though, audio is fine :/

What's wrong with Twitch?
Really just without an extra plugin to download.

E: Taeja beat a guy who's gonna play in Proleague next year.

Afreeca streams GSL on Twitch? Maybe they're required to. I'd still watch on their website without the extra plugin though I guess.

DingIt doesn't even have a wikipedia page. It's just marketing.

dingit app itself is harmless. the app is for better quality and less network issues so that you can watch it better.
|
and for the black bars at the top and the bottom, we try to not show that but it's because caster's computer doesn't support such resolution. we'll do our best to fix it on the caster's computer but i can't be sure of it

Well, the reviews for PC is really bad... and I don't see why I should watch in on my phone when PC is not recommended.

...from my multi-platform experience: Ios: nice app, works perfectly; Android: it works quite fine but it randomly crashes so not super stable; Chrome on Mac: you have to download an extension then it works quite well; Firefox on Mac: you have to download a plug in then it works quite badly, very slow and laggy; Firefox on Win: you have to download a plugin then, with or without it, it works awfully with tens of add: if you have an adblock you basically have to uninstall it to hope to see adds only... embarassing...
...so... if you have an iPad or something like that go for it (remember to close the app after)...if you don't leave it there...

This tournament looks pretty awesome.
|
Ah yes the days of downloading a plugin to watch streams. Reminds me of the early early days of SC2 what with GOM and MLG.
|
Except the GOM player was actually pretty useful. The only thing this plugin is good for is to watch Dingit, & even after installing the damn plugin I still have to refresh the stream & deal with bs. The kind of bs i dont expect to have when u downloaded a plugin, or that i have on twitch when i go there. I seriously hope that the exec's up at Dingit review their model because they're not gonna last as a company with potential viewers shunning them for it.
But yeah, great lineup... if you can watch it.

Sidebar says CJherO is playing, Liquipedia says LiquidHerO is playing. I assume it's the latter.

Are there any VODs of this tournament?

Downloaded it and it doesn't even work, only the stream audio and the damn thing crashes every minute.
Piece of shit app, thanks Dingit, hopefully we can get some vods soon because the player caliber looked amazing, super shitty that only like 100 people were watching it on stream.
|
if the audio is coming out that means its working but for the yesterday's game, caster was having network issue + technical issues. we'll try to make it a better experiance in the future. thank you guys for the feedbacks.

Ryan Park, are you planning in the near future to upload VODs to an alternative hosting? After all, you have your channel on youtube...

Do dingit streams work with livestreamer?
|
I won't watch this tournament JUST because of Dingit. It's the principle of the thing. Dingit is a horrible piece of buggy software that forces you to watch annoying adds that are much louder than the broadcast. If I can't adblock, I'm not watching.

Could find the group of patience in VOD, what about the other one plz?

TaeJa beating Cure 3-2 doesn't really bode well for Cure's Code A match tomorrow.
