3marine+2 widow mine drop in main while attacking with 2 hellions at natural. Denied a lot of mining time and killed some workers.
Soulkey responds with ravager-roach-ling all-in, killing a ton of workers but not breaking the tanks+medivac+liberators.
Soulkey keeps making units, not transitioning. Eventually Ty harasses some while holding. Soulkey GGs out.

Oops; Soulkey did managed to get many bases up, but TY constantly denied mining with numerous bio drops, to the point when Soulkey had less workers than TY; also, there were several big battles, and a notable one where most of Soulkey's airblob was annihilated.

I must say this was really good game from LosirA, great defense, great composition... starting with Mutas to harass and deny drops, into 2-2 Roach Ravager army, into Ravagers, Lings, Banelings then back to mass Mutas and then going into Cracklings and Ultralisks. He had few bad engagements but overall it was really good.

Dusk Towers and Orbital Shipyard are the Overgrowths, yes, but i wish they were a better and brighter tile set because the brighter tile sets are just more interesting and pleasing to look at.

I think pocket expansion maps are less of a coinflip. From my experience, you can go hatch first into baneling before speed and defend with a spine and two queens on the ramp.

From my expirience you can just avoid the Tho verlord if they don't drone scout and kill them
Then again I do speedling all in vs protoss on maps with pockets so maybe it's just me ?

I don't have problem seeing them like that, to deny drops and harass a little bit, but too many games in HotS were revolving around building up a huge Muta flock, and I am happy that it isn't like that every single game now.

I think it would be so cool if u could use them as an early defense but it's impossible since they take such a long time to get. It's understandable since otherwise they would be too strong offensively. It would be cool to toy around with a lurker that can only burrow on creep or something but then reduce the time to get it a lot.

Having just watched the VODs, unless it happened right after the gg of the final match, I can say that's not true. The only "whine" that came into play was about Parasitic Bomb, and that "Holy shit Liberators why are Terrans whining!" from Artosis before he remembered Parasitic Bomb existed.
Either way, pretty good games from TY, but hard to decide if it's a valid enough strategy since Vipers and Infestors weren't made when Soulkey had all the time in the world for them.

Interesting results. From reading the thread it seems like we haven't seen textbook-play in all situations yet so it's kinds hard to determine if a particular unit is too strong in certain situations, except maybe the Adept PvT.

Are you talking about Tastosis? Cause Artosis is pretty much in love with the race. He has always been, and definitely focuses on the Protoss perspective. As far as Proleague casters go, Moonglade is a Zerg player at heart, and will definitely take the Z perspective of things in a TvZ.

Just listening to Valdez cast in the last game... it wasn't pretty: "Commanding lead for Life", while he is behind 140 to 180 supply w/ tier 2 tech.
And then he went on and on about how Bunny should have targetted the 4th. No he shouldn't. Why would he do that when he could get a super efficient trade with presplit units?
And those Mutalisks of Life were never going to be any threat. His own production would eventually deal with them while they dealt minimum damage.
Overall - not just in this cast- Valdez just says alot of stuff which shows he doesn't understand the game. I also dislike when casters do minimum research beforehand. For instance if you know that you are going to cast a TvZ with Byun and there are a tons of vods with him in that matchup in LOTV, why not just watch a few of them beforehand to see how he plays?

3/4 for me, only ByuN disappointed. Losira played smartly after being "gifted" the reapers with a baneling bust, it was the first time I had seen that kind of response to a 3 rax.
Hurricane was a no brainer. He looked very adept (: at dispatching terrans while Reality looked shaky in TvP.
Bunny vs Life was pretty straightforward, Bunny showed good TvZ and Life was an unknown factor and probably trained for hots for a long time.
Soulkey vs TY was the hardest choice, while TY did not particularly impress me in TvZ, Soulkey loss against Bunny pushed the balance in favour of TY.
