Considering that Blizzard is thinking about forcing tanks to unsiege when picked up, this most likely won't be an issue for too much longer.

The first dropped tank fires first, and tankdrops beat presieged tanks due to mobility. The only micro I can think of that saves you after the enemy sieges first is lifting EVERYTHING and boosting backwards.
