Even if it was, we have since been told that matchfixers purposely shifted betting lines on matches that were not manipulated.

As much as betting lines aren't a proof of someone matchfixing, that phrase is not a proof of someone not matchfixing. But all these things have nothing to do with sOs.

(with some explanation) 1 - INnoVation: 2 GSL wins, 1 second place; 2 more Premier wins, including a 2013 season finale. Insane consistency and winrate (against Koreans). Even in the tournaments he didn't win he made his name (against Soulkey and against Maru in the OSL semifinals for example). Also simply playing and creating the best Terran styles possible for bio and mech in TvZ and TvT. Add to that insanely good stats in teamleagues, delivering when it counts. 2 - Life: Even with only one GSL win I give him the advantage over Maru, because similarily to INnoVation he was often "the guy to beat" (GSL 2013 INnoVation made his name of 2-0ing Life and Dream of 4-3ing life in the SSL semifinals). Not quite as consistent as INnoVation but peaking just as high if not even higher 2014/15. Very versatile and creative player that can change up his playstyle in months from being a top, somewhat defensive infestor or swarm host player to a mechanical beast mixing coinflips with strong macro tempo plays. 3 - Maru: This guy had a ticket to GSL/SSL semifinals and Ro8s. Won a GSL and an SSL. The reason why he doesn't stand on top is that he didn't participate (and consequently win) enough tournaments. Sickly good TvT and TvP, lacking a bit in TvZ. Much copied, never reached. 4 - 6: Classic, Zest, soO in some order

He only made two ro4s in GSL/OSL/SSL. And even if I valued the tournaments he won higher than I do, he probably would still not make it because of Taeja and Polt. by the way this is somewhat based on my old blog on that topic (Mar 2015). My standings for best HotS player back at that time were: 1. Life (5.042 points) 2. Maru (4.65 points) 3. soO & TaeJa (4.00 points) 5. INnoVation (3.575 points) 6. Zest (3.5 points) 7. Jaedong (3.4 points) 8. MMA (3.225 points) 9. Polt (2.842 points) 10. Soulkey (2.817 points) http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/481247-the-best-players-of-sc2-extra-dry-read

Yeah, I'm also not sure his target priority was correct in some situations. Getting the forge would've been big. But I'm still not sure afterwards, so I can't blame him if he made a mistake there. Would be nice to test it with a replay!

Still, it was an entertaining and fairly unique series. I thought Life had that last game in the bag, but then he pulled his lings back when Photon Overcharge was activated. I felt like he could take that nexus down right there.

Yes. 4-3 seems like Life only managed to win 3-games because of all the absurdly strong all-ins that zerg has and the weak defensive ability and literally zero offensive power of protoss. Life is such a patchzerg.

I know, it's pretty said. We lost such great entertainment value. But maybe a new swag_prophet will arise come LotV.

He is maybe winning not that much, but he is one of the best players out there. I wonder why is he not winning things...
