I must remind you that Life beat sOs when they last faced off, and Life was in indisputably worse shape then than he is now. Moonlight Madness should be a lock unless Innovation uses his veto on that map. I'm not terribly worried about Innovation's bio, but I do have reservations about Life's anti-mech play. We'll see, but I'm convinced he'll show up to play much better ZvT than we last saw from him. Rain can totally beat Life, he beat him in his prime

I mean, in theory everyone in this top 8 should be able to beat anyone else (except maybe the outliers INnoVation - Hydra?). But will they perform when it matters?

- he has practically an infinite number of builds :-) - he is able to read the situation extremely well and come with a surprise - when he is behind, he is able to come with some emergency surprise solution and gets back into the game - he does mind games :-)

If they met in semifinal, I would say, sOs would probably lose. But being in the final, I believe, it would give him such a confidence being again in the 100k final, that he would fully use his strengths: - he has practically an infinite number of builds :-) - he is able to read the situation extremely well and come with a surprise - when he is behind, he is able to come with some emergency surprise solution and gets back into the game - he does mind games :-) I think you might underestimate how much the same is true for Life. There's a reason that Life wins the overwhelming majority of tournament finals he reaches (despite being under age 18 for most of them).

Life is in contention for SC2 GOAT though. That's bigger, but less likely.

2014 - Life's path - Zest, San, Taeja, MMA 2015 - Classic's path - ByuL, herO, INno/Life, sOs/Rogue INno's path - Zest, Life, Classic/herO, sOs/Rogue sOs's path - PartinG, Rain, Rogue, INno/Classic/herO/Life Those are the three most impressive possible lists of opponents, in that order, IMO. How do you think they stack up compared to sOs and Life's runs in previous years?

Rain: Polt, sOs, Rogue, Inno/Classic/herO/Life. Rain's path would be a little less impressive than sOs's, since he went through Polt instead of PartinG. (although admittedly Polt looked quite good)
