He is as angry as he should be. He did a shameful display. What are people going to think of the foreign scene after that ? This is our best representative ? He can still redeem himself at DH Winter, I just don't get why anybody expected something different. It was phisically impossible to get efficient practice for this during the last 4 weeks. Of course he should've still done better than he did, because you don't lose 3 games like this in a row. Even if you played only LotV.
Honestly, getting crushed like this happens. But the attitude, especially THIS is what bothers me.

So hyped for Polt vs Rain.

ok Rain its your turn to win

I don't like the comparisons to NaNiWa. NaNiWa was socially awkward and bluntly honest. This is more like Stephano-esque excuses without Stephano's charisma to pull it off.
But man, Life really pulling no punches. His pre-game interview was dead on.

Yeah I think it's more than a bit disrespectful to both the sponsors, viewers, and organizers who put in money and effort into producing this tournament.
Although I think this position is relatively straightforward, honestly

I don't think we need to pile on lilbow anymore, but It's astounding how he screwed up such an easy situation. Nobody would have been angry at him if he lost 3:0 against life in a semi-competitive way. But to just be apathetic about such a big match just speaks volumes to his attitude, especially when compared to any korean.

lol at people acting like Lilbow could even practice HotS. Ladder would be a 100% waste of time for him and all his friends that would be willing to help him out also would suck at HotS due to not playing it.
|
It took Naniwa many stupid actions to show to all fans, what stupid personality he has ... It took Lilbow one stupid comment to lose all the sympathy of European fans ...
|
We're ragging on Lilbow, but hasn't Polt only been laddering LotV lately also?

Criticism in its own right, but there will be no senselessly bashing Lilbow in this thread. I honestly think it's pretty justified. This is the worst show of attitude I've seen from a pro since Naniwa
I don't think so. It's not like Lilbow threw or something. He qualified for Blizzcon, it happened to collide with LotV, he made a decision. I mean that's what many people have talked about, that once the LotV beta is out it will slowly start to kill HotS and we just have to accept that. I think we should be so fair to at least aknowldege that this isn't Lilbow being disrespectful towards the fans or the game, but really just prioritizing LotV over HotS now, since HotS is dead in the foreign scene while there are actual LotV tournaments all the time.

it says a lot about his character when his first response was to go to his twitter page and tell everyone "i didn't even practice that is my excuse"

Absolutely this. That's the main thing.

The last tourney I saw Life went full cheese against Parting. And I am not a progamer preparing himself for the biggest tourney of the year.
Say he missed that. OK, so how about you actually know what build is Life going when you scout him(Game #2). Lilbow was not prepared and showed that foreigner league is just a pure charity.

He could have practice in Hots, He has a good team to back him up, I'm sure Millenium would help him to find practice partner

Given the randomness of the criticisms, I don't think it would have mattered a lot. But yeah he probably should have known not to say that.
