Who are the favorites in this? I keep hearing Innovation? INnoVation and Zest are probably near the top in terms of common, alongside sOs and herO. There's a wide range of players that could reasonably win if they play as good as they have in the past. What Zerg player is good to watch? I saw that Life has a lot of achievements. I am a gold Zerg, so I am hoping to learn If you're hoping to learn, I would recommend ByuL - his style is easier to emulate, and he tends to handle Terran mech slightly better than Life. Life is my favorite player, though, and he plays a very exciting style - if you're looking for intelligent problem solving and fancy unit control, Life is the player to follow. Is "intelligent problem solving" a synonym for "cheesing the fuck out of better macro players"? Well, Mvp was a regular cheeser, and he is considered by some the GOAT of sc2. Go figure... Mvp was mostly known for being a super defensive macro terran. He only started cheesing a lot once his wrists died. I think the point is that he cheesed when he knew it was his best chance to win. It shouldn't matter much why his chances in macro games were slim. Mvp cheesed for all kinds of reasons, as does Life. It's part of what makes the best players the best.
Yea, pretty much this. Although I think they both cheesed because it gives them a mental advantage. Both players are super bold and have a mental strength that is way out of the scale.

fuck... thinking back.. it indeed seems like there were so many options for fantasy that he didn't make use of: no bunkering, and dropping the mines without any bio attacking, evac'ing the third earlier, setting up a flank... did he even have to engage after his 3rd was sniped..... sigh.

So to recap: Fuck vikings. Srsly. Fuck vikings. Or... let's... Build aaaaaaaaaall the vikings.nah... just fuck vikings.

What people didn't realize was that being a true Kong didn't mean always finishing 2nd, but rather, always coming up one short of the goal - in that case, playing at Blizzcon.

He had to commit to either basetrading or defence, he went half-arsed and paid the price.

I'm so ashamed to even witness such game, and to be honest, big props to Fantasy for trying to do something despite being severely handicapped. lol indeed, been watching(and playing) this game since WoL beta ... what you wrote pretty much sums it: "LOL" Of all matches to use as evidence for your viewpoint, you use Fantasy vs herO? Do you have any idea how silly that makes you look? This is the most MOST recent one, in line with each and single TvP since the start of HotS. Is that silly ?! I beg to differ. After all, if we're going to be honest with ourselves, terran is wielding the shortest stick..

I liked that series because it beautifuly showcased soO's lack of knowledge on how the game plays out once your opponent leaves midgame on even footing.

Also, this was the Year of Two Kongs. So will neither one go to the Top 8?
