I don't like that the year is at it's end and for some reason there are all these sponsors jumping on the worst year for SC2 tournaments since it's release. "worst year" Not looking at the big picture. When the brood war scene merged, the scene was way too saturated with players, teams, tournaments etc. Now we actually have a stable scene with established guidelines and a more mature game that has its shit together. I'd hardly call this the worst year, so far I'd give that title to 2012. People tend to have a distorted memory of 2012 due to the last 2-3 months, but 2012 was probably the biggest year for Starcraft. MLG and IPL were still huge, alongside WCS and GSL + a wide array of others. And the beginning of the year actually produced some really good games, more macro-oriented than 2011. The entire year produced a lot of great games. Grubby was still playing starcraft and almost won a IEM in 2012

Worst year for SC2 was 2013 to me. The year of mass retirements, mass disbandings and tournament structures died (NASL, IPL). Since then it has stabilized I feel but the gap between 2012 and 2013 was atrocious.

Man PvT if you let the toss dictate the pace of the game you're going to have a bad time. You need to constantly threaten drop and backstabs so that the toss is barely surviving to move forward.
Now herO is just playing so well dropping a dark shrine, such a small commitment right now but should do a ton of damage or force a disproportionate response.
