I don't think you understand PvP at all.
sOs was on a clock to make something happen, he was all in on 2 bases. Zest wasn't "pissing himself", he was covering attack angles, because that's what he should do in that situation.

Have you NEVER seen a PvP? That's how you take third bases in the matchup. You make the nexus and only start saturating it if the opponent expands as well, otherwise you die.

Well, generally I'll be biased when talking about Zest, but this is all just basic PvP. There's no bias to understanding the dynamic of 2 vs 3 base play. One player is all in, the other defends. The fight decides the game.

Zest did not introduce probe production for third base, situation was more even for time. sOs has advantage as long as Zest does not make probe because he makes more money with gold mineral. And Zest cannot introduce probe production because sOs has more money to make more unit with gold mineral.
Even if Zest is able to introduce probe without dying, sOs would be able to create third base easily with gold base mineral giving a buffer in income disparity while third base is building.

exactly that's why he also went for colo follow up. Both blink stalkers and colo can easily went up the cliff of Zest base and force him for that awkward positioning on his ramp and cast TimeWarp.

Maru's hold vs the early roach-ling pressure was so good, looked flawless there. Many many players would've just pulled back and have the third denied for a minute or two longer.

Oh I support that statement in every word even though I haven't seen the games today. But the amount of possible bullshit, the versatility of the game... it annoys me so much. It's been a while since I have seen long, good macro games, trading, back and forth fights and the winner winning by small advantages he gains over lots of better engagements, harassments etc.

Oh I just saw the first VOD (Flash vs Trap). While I like that a player can come back as Trap did, the way Flash dominated the game it shouldn't have been lost. Guess a bunker at 3rd and 4th with 2 marines in it would have don the trick against the DT harass... I guess. Sad to see him lose because of 10% of the game when he dominated the other 90%.
