Really hope Bogus takes it for epic TvT semifinals. That way either Terran sets us up for 1/2 of the best final possible with ByuL being the other half. Just don't see it though, his TvP is usually so predictable and Zest has a great record against him.

I second these predictions. I don't approve of the wish though.
I'm really nervous for Maru right now as his TvZ havent looked that good lately. I mean his bio is crazy good but it seems like most zergs just smash that nowdays and I don't really know how good his mech is.
The few games I have seen him play mech havent been that good I think. But can always hope for a couple of good hellbat timings I guess.
It's so hard trying to bet on either Innovation or Zest,
So far all the past encounters are showing a strong T dominance over P, although we're talking about Zest here, the guy who single handedly took down SKT only last week.
I've told myself to always bet on T in high level (korean scene) TvP match ups, but I have no idea what to do here, Aligulac shows strong bias towards Innovation even though Zest has a better h2h win record, especially in HOTS, Zest has won pretty much 80% of the time. It seems Zest does struggle in a longer series (especially this being bo5, so I'm guessing that will favor Innovation slightly).
Looking at the group stages, Zest nearly got eliminated losing 0-2 to Solar and just winning 2-1 against MyuNgSiK, then closed it out winning 2-0 against MyuNgSiK again, whilst Innovation didn't drop a single map...
but again we're talking about Zest here... Argh
Brain is saying Innovation, heart is saying Zest... what to dooooo....
Maru 3-2 Rogue INnoVation 3-2 Zest I'll probably miss most of the matches, I'll be at work. Fuck rl . My heart and thoughts will be with the Terrans though, as much as I love Zest we need a Terran champion.

More likely to see mech in the second series than the first lmao. A Maru vs Inno semi would I think end up being disappointing. TvT isn't what it used to be. The prospect of Maru bio vs Inno mech might have thrilled me in the past but now not as much. However I think Rogue vs Inno is the nightmare semifinal. Maru vs Zest may provide the best games.
Well, it should be no surprise I'm rooting for Maru... Though I think the outcome of Maru-Rogue could seriously be anything. I mean that. Imaginary or irrational numbers, quantum superposition, objects from the farthest reaches of the galaxy... ANYTHING. Including the horrific prospect of 3-0 in favor of Rogue.
I just am not quite convinced that Maru is 100% back. But if he is, I'm rooting for whoever he's most likely to destroy out of Zest and InnoVation. Inno has looked a little more vulnerable lately, I think? Hmm...

I think Rogue got this. Maru isn't nearly as good against Zerg as he is against Protoss and Terran. Of course Zest is going to destroy Innovation. Zest is best. Innovation is too macro oriented and operates like a machine. Dare I say, a more refined and better Flash?

Maru will lose if he beat's Rogue (ROGUE CURSE)
I think Rogue has the magic skill required to redirect his curse to another player. My real hope is that Maru can take the big championship finally. But I seem to be the only one who dares to have a glimmer of hope.
I think Rogue will take this one. There's usually a lot of mindgames and unorthodox builds involved in teamkills situations and Rogue is very good at those.
I don't know shit about TvP so I voted Innovation because I think he's good...
Go Maru, break the curse! Win! Defeat Rogue, Zest and then win the whole GSL! Parting is out, but you are the player that is without a GSL win and should have one!! GOGOGO!

I don't know, it imo lacks a lot of what makes other mobas fun tbh. I played it a little bit and thought it's enjoyable short term. But watching it feels incredibly boring to me.
For the guys asking about Maru: The players had to rate their opponent and Maru gave Rogue little values all over the place (micro, attack, etc)

I find it the opposite of other mobas, which are much more boring... laning phase ends very quickly in hots and it's all about team fights and combining with your team and stuff. I can see it not being massively fun to watch but it's more fun than other moba cause it doesn't take 20 minutes for anything interesting to happen.

Yeah, the perpetual slouch is really not healthy at all. He needs to get tips from Zest.
Those roaches behind the mineral line of Maru reminds me of SC2 Battle Report 2 (I think) where Robert Simpson describes the same type of attack as "the roach going rogue commando"

There was 0 indication that it wasn't working well. And even if it wasn't, we're reverting to something that already doesn't work well. There was no reason at all to bring back the MULE hammer

There's a difference between balance and design. While Terran as a whole isn't inherently imbalanced, the fact that MULES give such a high amount of comeback potential like that is simply bad design

come on guys, if mules were so overpowered, Terran players should have been ripping leagues and tourneys apart for some time, but fact is most T players not named Innovation or Maru have been knocked out of tourney after tourney by Z and P players for months.
Could we get a hype as fuck Maru vs INno rematch? Where Maru shows why he has INnos number or INno finally redeems himself and gets revenge? Yes pls now lose Zest.
Why does no terran instant scv all in after killing the blink rush?Worked out either way this time, but sometimes seems to end up in giving the protoss to much time to get to AOE and to have a shot.

Zest went blink all in. Inno had 3 mines denying a blink into base so Zest was stuck outside to long. Eventually stim complete with only losing like 15SCVs and mining time. Zest miles behind. Before Inno eventually pushes out with Zest finally getting a 2nd base up. Zest forces a base trade in which Inno comfortably wins after trapping zest weak army in his base with sim city building blocking making a choke.
Yes, that drilling rush - I met it on the ladder a month ago(+-) and it almost killed me. Thank god I somehow saved most of the probes and units. I don't understand how I did it, IMO pure luck It's a bad build that should be banned (I actually didn't see the game, I caught only the GG in the end, so not sure what were they mentioning)

the msc really makes this too hard to deal with. that is why everyone uses this crap on the ladder. you dont need a robo, you are safe vs most early agression the terran has and you have the potential to kill

well that was still a greedy third from Inno.
Well he doesn't have OC overcharge, he can't be that greedy Anyway, this game cannot be about balance, Innovation was greedy that much, that Satan himself noticed.

Maru vs Dear would bring up very sweet memories indeed (that Frost game). I doubt Dear would be able to keep up in long games nowadays though, he'd probably go for the bullshit card.
3/4 of the final scenarios sound good to me. The only one that sounds terrible on paper is Dear vs Bogus. Bogus is just flat out boring in TvP.
ByuL vs Bogus is the best final possible imo. It's likely to be the most competitive and there are so many narratives to draw from it to add to the hype. It'd end HotS WCS in the same way it started as well, with Bogus once again taking on the best Zerg of the era and the only one able to stand against his TvZ.
