He's played in one tournament where he lost to Lilbow and Hyun. Literally means he's awful
well the only other tournament he tried qualifying for was WCS and he didn't

Thats true. Overall i think storm should always be your goal in a normal PvZ game.

Its very difficult to enjoy the game when one player stands no chance. And Mlord didn't even play particularly well. Its really weird, now that mech is hugely popular terrans forgot that they can also build planetaries instead of turret walls. If half of the extra orbitals were planetaries instead the game would have been even easier

It's not that visible in mech games, but I think Mlord is at the point where he is sufficiently better than Zanster for that to be reasonably natural, no? I mean Zanster did lose 20 drones to the blueflame-hellions, and going against mech on iron fortress on even footing isnt the worst if you're prepared against mech

Mlord needs these extensive walls to make up for his light ground force. he goes heavy vikings to deny the vipers and builds huge walls to deny the ultras. Then he transitions to BCs and is all set. This heavy viking commitment is kinda cool, even if I still don't like turtle mech

Honestly I don't think marinelord has a chance. He has very very strong bio, but he had an over 3 minute window where he could have 1a'ed zanster and won, but because he is actually a skilled terran he isnt too experienced with mech and certain adaptions from the zerg that allow you to 1a even without the 170 or 140 push attacks some other terrans do. Zanster looks more comfortable in mech v zerg.

My theory on SH is that you build 5 or 6 (whatever amount 1 shots a CC, maybe 1 or 2 more) and run around the map with them. As soon as you see your opponent attacking run the swarm host into your opponents army and use the supply for whatever units you want to actually use.

Not too far from high level Starcraft, especially if you count last week's Code S group A matches that were pretty horrible to watch because of countless mistakes by some of the players.

It depends on the person, but we see it happen in different areas of life a lot. Being forced to be efficient (in something you chose to do) can be highly effective. Or you can bomb out if you didn't have the built-up skill.

Some people don't benefit from additional practice or at least don't know how to. I don't remember if it was Nerchio or Stephano who said something like that.

Yeah you still don't become "bad" when you don't play for a month. Obviously I'm nowhere near that level but even when I don't play for 2/3months I don't feel like i've become worse

Petraeus started being part-time player not long time ago, so he still keeps his old skill. Probably he has better attitude as well, as he is not so focused on getting good results. It's better to say "Let's just try to do my best and we will see, I am part time player anyway, so nothing happens if I lose" instead of "I spend so much time playing this game, I work so hard to become better player, so I must get good results now".
I have a feeling it could help Snute a lot. He has a skill to overcome best players in the world. Snute is so good that he won't suddenly lose his skill if he starts playing less or takes a break (for a short time) and having an attitude of "expecting less" due to not practicing too much lately could actually help a lot.
At least that's what I feel. I don't know Snute personally, so I could be completely wrong, but I think that's how human mind works in general.

It totally makes sense since back in BW days Stork used to have his best days of performance when he was playing other games. But the important thing is to not get complacent after that and then resume practice after getting good results.
