I fixed up your post.

If you divide an infinite amount of apples into 2 groups, do both groups have an infinite amount of apples, or just one? or neither?

both do, but just less apples are in each group

Are you sure? Cause if 1 group has a finite amount and the other an infinite amount and you put them together, you still have an infinite amount of apples in total

but that's not what was asked. We had infinite to begin with and then divided it. It's still an infinite amount in both groups, but a small infinite than the two groups combined.

Let's say I have this infinite amount of apples, and I take 1 of the apples and put it in group 1. I take the rest of the apples and I put it in group 2. Now I have a finite group and an infinite group, which are infinite together

I never said divide them equally btw, maybe that was unclear.

You implied equal division, so that was very unclear yes

At least one would be infinite. There other one may or may not be infinite depending on your choice of separation.

Lorning never said how we had to divide apples in two groups, so two infinite groups or one finite and one infinite are valid answer, no?

If he had said divided into two in the mathematical sense of "divide", then we can put both groups in bijection and thy're both infinite.

(I'm no mathematician though.)

You can split up infinity into 1 finite group and 1 infinite group (like, say, splitting all integers into Set 1 = the integers from -10 to 10, and Set 2 = all the other integers), and you can also split up infinity into 2 infinite groups (like, say, Set 1 = all even integers, and Set 2 = all odd integers). So it works in both cases if the question is as originally written "do both groups have an infinite amount or just one?" It could be either answer.

If you put any percentage of the apples (besides 0) in a group, it will have an infinite amount of apples. If you put a certain amount of apples, however, it will be finite.
