If he had said divided into two in the mathematical sense of "divide", then we can put both groups in bijection and thy're both infinite. (I'm no mathematician though.) | ||

You can split up infinity into 1 finite group and 1 infinite group (like, say, splitting all integers into Set 1 = the integers from -10 to 10, and Set 2 = all the other integers), and you can also split up infinity into 2 infinite groups (like, say, Set 1 = all even integers, and Set 2 = all odd integers). So it works in both cases if the question is as originally written "do both groups have an infinite amount or just one?" It could be either answer. | ||
