I wonder why NaNiwa's spot was not filled by one of the 3 guys that got eliminated in the first group stage. Seems a bit unorthodox to have a BYE in the later stages of the tournament.

Anyway, cheering for my fellow fi Finns elfi & ZhuGeLiang !

6-11 brood war + 5-2 SC2 = 11-13 overall so Jaedong still leads

oh wow, Miniraser beat Patience 2-1 in their rematch. After Patience took the KR quali for IEM, where he beat soO 2-0, i thought stuff like that wouldnt happen again.

But hey, gogo Miniraser then!

Miniraiser only loses to EPS champions, Patience is not quite on that level.

He was very close though, losing only 2-3 to Showtime in Spring. Nearly EPS-Champion-level from him.

A tournament with literally no promotion behind it, half of which is populated by players with no brand recognition, while everyone is watching LOTV streams. It wasn't exactly going to do that well.

It's a bit sad though, there are quite a few players, that are very watchable here. I hope, that they can reach at least 15k over the weekend at some point. Since Ryung is in the tourney, do you possibly have insider-infos on the groups of stage 3?

Everyone thought that what would have made Parting finally reach his final form, would be the Kespa training of SKT, but it was actually the Has training of YoeFW.

Decent chances that SuperNova gets upset
My boy FanTaSy should advance to RO8 uncontested

This tournament has way too few viewers! Decent prize pool, 300 WCS points - Rain vs JD coming up! Tell your friends about this tournament, I dont want my "home" tournament to cancel Sc2 next year because of lack of support

Well I tuned in like an hour ago, but to be honest, the games have been absolutely terrible so far

Slow banes outside creep, that's gonna do SO much damage ... I can handle when people lack top-level multitasking or control, but Miniraser just doesn't seem to have any idea how to play this.

Wasn't there this story that when Fantasy came to Europe to qualify for IEM Katowice, he practiced a bit on ladder and went like 90-3?

Maybe locally solar powered LAN, but only during daylight. Or locally wind powered LAN in Denmark, they are the wolrd superpower in wind energy.

How can you even have power issues in northern Europe? We have sometimes power issues because of Northern Europe's overflow of power.

It would be a shame to see JD retire in form like this. I hope something resurrects his passion/form. One of the legends of the game shouldn't go out like this.

I am hoping that going into LoTV that a Kespa team will make a bid for him, it feels like such a wasted potential at the moment.

He chose to stay outside Korea and he says he won't retire until he gets a chance to play in Korea again. Whenever that is.

What does "play in korea mean, specifically?" Like just playing in gsl/ssl/proleague, or on a Korean team?

At least a Korean league. Though he probably wanted to play in a Korean team too given that it was an interview on why he chose EG over the PL teams.

The best dreams would be to have renewed interest from other Kespa teams in lol (like Najin, etc) to have sc2 teams (perhaps with lotv?) and to sign JD on. Obviously its a Pipe dream, but it wouldn't be right for JD to go out on a Foreign team.

It was very poor, and at this point it just feels like an accumulation of mistakes.

No great player can keep form with the travel schedule he has. It's impossible.

Jaedong was always my favorite player but I have to admit that he is getting old and not sure he will ever get near the top again as he once was in SC2.

I am so sad right now

So, so far just Patience is out Korean-wise... All-Korean semis obviously.

If Parting beats elfi, he'll win the tournament for sure. But hard task.

Really hope they switch the ro8 matches to prevent possible group stage 3 rematches in the semis. Also, it might be nice to play elfi's and Jaedon's matches last from ro8 tomorrow since they finished their matches last today. Awesome matches coming up nevertheless! GJ elfi!

Edit: by switching the ro8 matches I mean for example putting Ryung vs SuperNova to the lower side of bracket and putting Jaedong vs Fantasy to the upper side. The match pairs stay the same.
