It forces teams to invest in depth instead of having 3 star players.
in theory that'd be cool but it's hard for teams to actually afford having 6 solid players all the time. I agree it would be cool but the scene is volatile
Why did you change your first team, it looks pretty good tbh ^^ Not happy with soO?
First time trying FPL and only read up on some stuff later on. Thought that Innovation was probably overprized and went with herO instead because he is like the only good player on CJ and thus bound to play a lot of (ace?) matches. So I had some extra points and upgraded soO (who is on SKT and thus might not play that much) for Rogue which I believe is the second best zerg right now after Life. Similarily I through out Trap who is on Jin Air (again, a stacked team) for Hurricane (Samsung, he will get tons of playtime).

Well the new team isn't bad either, the most important part is trading regardless :D I am still shocked you didn't play fpl before though^^
Dear just got away with a really, really greedy build, he just abused the strenghts of his race. There's no clash of power in this game to be seen, sorry guys

I believe FPL is like stock trading. At first it is a ton of work until you understand it and you don't even want to try it. Then it becomes a ton of fun.

Why do you think the build was weird?
I figure with everyone going wm drops left and right, early stim drop is quite unexpected. But maybe it just sucks because of overcharge?
Ok now I'm laughing thanks the 10Q10A fuck-up. Sojung asks Rogue if he has a girlfriend then you just hear MarineKing answer his question with Choya. XD

well you can play it several way. optimizing picks based on match ups and trading a ton, trying to understand who's the new hot thing in korea right now (Losira/Dream r1?), who's underpriced etc.. It adds quite a layer of excitment to SPL imo

2 rax 6 minute factory gets 2x medivac out at 9:00. If you boost you can maybe be at their base at 9:30 where they should have 1 colossus + overcharge, i don't see much point in it, you delay everything else so much and protoss can just spot it with obs.

Fanchants. They seem pretty common in Korea. Live KPop performances have fanchants for fans to chant during parts of the songs and stuff. It's really cool.

I didn't expect it, but I saw it as a possibility. Trap 2-0'd Rogue and 3-0'd Stats in IEM qualifier. He also qualified for the Kung Fu Cup. Judging from their immediate results, I'd say Trap is looking the best out of the JAGW players.

Yeah you only had to see the 20 supply lead in army value in PvP is way to much no matter what lol
That didn't help, but the worse part is that he was just moving his army around, chasing phoenixes. There were a lot of zealots in Trap's army, maybe he could have blocked them if he'd known they were coming.
I'm still baffled by the fact, that people haven't picked Trap. He's one of the 2 players of 2 points who are fielded this week. Trap & Sora, where Trap is the obvious choice no matter what! (I also picked sora, but that's another issue lol)
I'd say the game was relatively even, but Trap stopped probe production and went straight for an attack, while Dear kept focusing on economy when he was actually about to be attacked. Additionally, Dear's army position was an auto-gg.
It is NOT worth trading Trap. Even if he doesn't get played next week (I'm pretty sure he will), his value is still low enough that anyone he is traded for will not be very good. It'd be better to just hold onto him and wait for him to be played again or just keep racking up points from team wins.

lol he is right, if you don't fuck up you win almost all the time with phenix vs gate-nexus-robo. And at this level you don't expect something that easy to be fucked up.
On March 02 2015 22:58 lichter wrote: now the big question is whether people trade trap and for whom
why would you trade him now. he's in the best form he ever was imo and if he keeps it up he'll be a regular starter. Being the ace over the big4 of JAGW means that he probably destroys everything in the in house rankings too.
To be fair, FPL was already open by the time the Kungfu Cup qualifiers happened. His IEM qualifier run was impressive though but he didn't play much last round so that probably factored into cost too.
Well i don't value online stuff too much AND i thought Trap most likely won't play at all this season after week one. Online stuff is how you notice the players that are going to make a splash without having inner intel. Rogue started by winning an IEM qualifier with a fantastic run including a final win vs soulkey if I recall correctly.

Well the fact that he was in the lineup, was enough for me to believe that his online runs are no fluke and that he does well in the team house right now. HerO just keeps disappointing, would never pick him, he is so unstable sadly :/. But let's see if he can turn it around if he gets more chances.
+0 for Hurricane appearing, but him losing +4 for Rogue appearing and winning and JAGW winning +1 from Terminator because he is on JAGW +1 for SGK losing 2-3
and from the other match I get -1 for Salvation on my Anti Team, because MVP won
is that correct (for the named players)? That doesn't sound that bad after all

So we had the ZvP, the PvT, the PvP, the ZvZ and the ace match was a mirror. Both times. Also, all players who won in round 1 lost in round 2 and vice versa. Coincidence? I think not!
I knew picking Trap was a good choice! Finally he's getting some work done. Hopefully today's performance has convinced the Jin Air coaches to field him more often.
That ZvZ... combination of a throw by Shine and superb multitasking by Rogue. That looked so over after the failed assault on the gold base. The look on Shine's face as Rogue sniped the last hatch was just....JUSTICE!
Also Trap is a total boss. He actually lived up to the FPL hype and earned more than enough points for what he was worth.
Looks like Maru is in a slump versus Protoss. These days, he seems like he has absolutely no clue on how to beat or even play against them. It seems that he is starting a losing streak and it seems a little unrecoverable right now. I hope that he does not get benched due to his string of sup-optimal performances these days.
This slump is one of the worst slumps I have seen from a tip top terran player in a long time. I hope he recovers soon so he can start winning again. Maru went from the best player in the world to being only a top 25 Korean terran at best. I hope he recovers from his deep slump so that he start placing high and playing in ace matches again. I am sick and tired of him dropping out of the round of 16 and not being able to play the ace match.
