you literally get to watch protoss get protossed in every single game
(this is also why i cannon rush in unranked pvp) At least that is in my case, and ofc not everyones opinion. But I am not alone, as I have seen viewer counts going down from 36K to 25K. don't attribute a drop in viewership to simply a matchup. it's late and people are going to bed. also not everyone leaves the stream on during breaks/analysis. some people close windows or open another stream or do something else for a while but thanks for the writeup about pvp, it's not that i literally "don't understand" why people find something boring, just that i find it fun to watch anyway because it's silly and volatile, sort of like watching bronze league heroes I like watching micro of few units, it can be quite exciting. Blink wars is just mesmerizing since blink is like, one of the most fun things to do in the game.

it's either apollo/artosis/day9

I would watch another mixed matchup though, but I have seen literally 100s of always the same PvPs this year. It has jost become the most boring matchup. I mean PvP will never get to the point where TvT once was. And I dunno which tourney it was (Dreamhack, last week?) cause there were so many recently, but if you watch Skyhighs TvTs and see how much back and forth, constant battling on 3 fronts, gaining small advantages etc etc... i mean how thrilling it is to watch this matchup and then a boring PvP again... well thank you. I am glad the protoss are happy now, cause well balance restored and such... but as a viewer I just think I don't have to witness another PvP if I don't have too. I am not even interested in which protoss wins this time, there have been so many protoss victories this year, it doesn't count to me really. It would count if toss is the inferior race atm, but it isn't. I am impressed by life and was extremely impressed by teaja, beating the 6 months of constant protoss wins at premier tournaments... but well I hope you enjoy the finals, I didn't want to take the fun away from you, just explain my POV. Good night
Edit: btw it picked up to 30k again. So it is "ok". although finals tend to have about 10% more not 20% less viewers. Definately the matchup

Day9 always emphasizes the vaguest most and most irrelevant elements in all games and PvP being a very intricate match up I'm looking forward to him making no good calls at all. Wish ToD and Rotti were there.

Neither of these guys have any business casting this finals as far as i'm concerned. No fucking casting duo is topping tod/rotti for this and they're right fucking there in the back.

Wish ToD and Rotti were there. well day9 is there because of his popularity, it's common knowledge he doesn't know the current meta that well. i agree that it's frustrating, and i don't really like him as a caster in general, but it's not his fault that he's popular. and specifically he's popular for the sort of generic, newbie-friendly analysis that's annoying and not helpful for some of us

Stargate in-base is just such a good build.

dammit Rain, don't fall behind here

Hahahahahhaha , a 30 minutes final (real time not blizzard time). This is the entertainment we deserve.
|
Rain spent about 15 minutes before the final coming out on stage and signing stuff for everyone. I hope that doesn't come back to bite him
