Other than that, he lost the first game to a pretty roach corruptor all-in, lost the second one after a really strange build (6 gates +1 -> "fake ?" third -> moves out, gets surrounded, loses), won on Nimbus an attrition war against SH corruptor viper (good one), won on MGR with the same DT rush he did vs Soulkey on the same map, and wasted his victory on Catallena after that miserable failure of a cannon rush. Even Life admitted after game he had lost in game 5 and only pulled through because Zest mismicroed horribly.

MC was the best for about 4 months. Naniwa was actually really good as well and a strong contender for quite a while. HerO did super well mid-2011 as well. Maybe even Oz? Puzzle?
In any case, MC wasn't the absolute best for a year.

earlier i was thinking about how big the gap between these players really is, relatively speaking. like, how big of a gap is jjakji-zest compared to something like... vortix-taeja? or huk-snute? or anything?
i know people will lol at this but one of the things i find really cool about pro starcraft is how many separate tiers of play there are and how the same couple of players can potentially look even in one game and mismatched in the next

He appeared some times in Proleague but I feel he never got a good grasp of HotS, though his defensive play should have suited this expansion quite well. He's still playing and could have a good 2015.
