i play diamonds on ladder all day and i can guarantee you that a great majority of them dont have the multitasking and awareness to target medivacs with photon cannons while taking engagements and cleaning up drops

That's basically Polt's career in TvP. Crazy army splits and tons of tempo.

I don't think it's a matter of confidence, it's just a stylistic choice. You literally cannot afford to do Polt style drops if you go Ghost / Viking.

I agree. There was a point where Classic had 8 stalkers, 4 zealots, and 1 col defending 3 bases.

If he had 4 medivacs instead of 2 I don't see Classic holding without taking some heavy damage.
