The problem with Calgary and to a lesser extent Vancouver is that they are pretty far from other big cities. Toronto is well located from a tournament point of view.

Oh, it's not that bad - Edmonton actually has a decent E-sports scene. There's quite a few little cups and minor tournament events that happen there. Plus, you have the vindictive pleasure of watching the Oilers lose again and again up close and personal.
