While you can maybe argue that the current performance is less than what they ought to be I think calling them mediocre is a bit.. much. Samsung Khan is mediocre.

This is as silly as saying that a bio player losing 0-2 proves that bio isn't viable, just because his composition wasn't hilariously off. You were tricked and have 2 vikings too few to defend his colossi. You didn't scout ahead enough and ran into some storms. Etc. etc.

In a pro game you can lose if anything is slightly off. That's common sense. You should know this.

I also choose to trust a professional gamer who was comfortable enough to let the game go that long and do it 3 times and surely has a much better understanding of the game than you to say it's not viable.

Believe if you want to believe. The day the mech:bio ratio isn't 500:1 anymore in high level Korean TvP, the conversations about the viability of mech can start. Until that's it's pure faith from people who want to believe vs the trial of reality.

Well when such an occurrence as the sudden burst of mech in TvT in MLG Anaheim (after people consider it not to be viable simply because it isn't played much) has happened, I can believe in anything. Or in 2012 with mech finally being used in TvZ after being absent in GSL since virtually 2010. To me the amount of times a style is used isn't directly connected to how viable it is.

So 4 years of pros randomly throwing it in and getting punished for it don't convince you.... alrighty then. Keep believing.

If you're talking about WoL, Terran won in TvP with mech more often than lost. I found every single game in GSL and wrote the score down. The point is not popularity or if it's better than bio or not. If it can win, then that's what I consider to be viable. Again, that's like the people saying back in TvT and TvZ that mech isn't viable, because it's used so infrequently. There's such a thing as players not figuring something out until later.

I'm okay with you saying that it's not impossible for mech to work. I'm not okay with Exarl saying "hey, we have to assume mech works, otherwise Bbyong wouldn't use it." That's what Dwf was answering to, and so maybe he didn't use the most precise phrasing he could have, but he's on the right side on this.

Well to me if something has a decent chance of working, I consider it working. And it seems it's the same with Exarl too, as he only said that it has "merit" (an unspecified amount). He pointed out some things Bbyong could have improved to win the game but thedwf dismissed it with a blanketing statement about lategame TvP. At least, this is how I was interpreting it. So perhaps part of the problem is in miscommunication there regarding the extent of it "working" as well as what "viable" means to each person

this game will weight a lot in the post season analysis, if Rain lose not sure how you can say they did worse than Khan when you take into account the rosters. (and Khan blew)
