Byul fucked up in holding a 10 pool/bane build and was behind all game. Couldn't comeback.
Oz went for a risky stargate build and didn't prepare well at all for Super's counter 3-gate despite scouting and being scouted. Died easily.
Lucky went for a risky double gold on Habitation Station. It didn't work very well..

It looks quite grim, with CJ likely getting that 4th spot. Still, it's not quite as absurd as it may seem for IM to make it.
Yeah unfortunately.... this pl system is just too bad, giving 40 extra points to 1st place finisher is just way too much. I dont know what they were thinking about this. Even as a CJ fan I wish the last round would have been more open (with fear of dropping out of top4) to have a more interesting round4 but its just not possible :/

Wouldn't have changed much though, KT, SKT and Jin Air would be in the top 4 regardless, and it's very fair to give the winner of the play-offs something over and above the round robin. If they wouldn't give extra points, why even bother. The fact that any team could potentially still be first and get those 40 points is the only reason why all other teams could in theory still pass CJ in the rankings.
The reason we have an uneventful round 4 is there were 4 teams who clearly performed better throughout the other 3 rounds than the other 4 teams. KT and Jin Air made the play-offs all 3 times and both won once, so they deserve top 4. SKT was barely edged out in round 2, but had dominating performances in round 1 and especially round 3 so they deserve a play-off spot. CJ had a pretty bad start, but rebounded quickly and had 2 solid performances in round 2 and 3. Samsung did well in round 1 but fell off, MVP is inconsistent, and IM/Prime didn't even make the play-offs once.
Whatever (reasonably fair) system you could come up with, the top 4 would be the same.

My strategy of going IM heavy early because of them facing Prime and MVP and then looking to trade them away seems to have backfired

I wanted to do the same with SKT players and getting CJ players...

That's what you get for trying new players (Lucky in this case).

Yay, a much needed sweep to bounce back. Keep it going.

Race matchups weren't the reason... It's more of a team/player matchup problem

DrPandaPhD said that Leenock is in Taiwan for most of the time (I figured he probably knows since he's the leading Leenock fanboy) so we probably won't see him too often unless he's back in Korea.
