2014 Red Bull Battle Grounds: North America -This year, Battle Grounds North America, Battle Grounds Global, and Battle Grounds Online will send their respective victors to march on Washington in the hopes of usurping the throne.
Here at the Battle Grounds North America only 6 can qualify for the Battle Grounds studio event in Santa Monica, Here is how you can do it!
There are 3 total North America Qualifier cups you can sign up for. The following restrictions apply:
Qualifier Cup Restrictions
- You must be a citizen of/residing in the United States, Mexico, or Canada (excluding Quebec) to play in these cups.
- You must be 18 years of age when the cup begins.
- Cup is limited to 512 people, single elimination.
- You must play on the valid battle.net account attached to your ESL profile
- 1st place and 2nd place finishers receive a paid round-trip flight and hotel to Santa Monica, CA for the Battle Grounds North America.

Qualifier FAQ
- You MUST check-in to recieve a spot in the qualifier. Check-ins opens 1 hour before the cup starts.
Next check-in June 9th 1:00 pm EDT / 10:0 am PDT: Qualifier Cup 3: www.nationalesl.com/us/redbull/sc2/qualifier_3/checkin - Immediately after checking in, sign into battle.net and join channel Redbull1 (or Redbull2, Redbull3, etc if the previous channel is full)
- All replays must be uploaded. This is how the system advances you in the brackets. Your battle.net account MUST match the one on your ESL profile!
- Replays are uploaded by clicking the "VS" on your match in the brackets.

Best of 3 in all rounds.
In a Best of 3, a veto (removal and pick) system is used. The high seeded player(seeds can be found at round 1 on the grid page) decides who starts veto. Whoever starts veto also gets first map pick. Players take it in turn removing maps until only 3 maps remain in a best of 3. Whoever veto'ed first also picks first map. Second map is chosen by player who veto'd second. Maps are played in order they are picked. The remaining map is played last.
