I would imagine bane drops on top of swarm hosts would work nicely. It would be a massive overlord sacrifice but it would work

You need dominating players and personalities to grow a scene. The game itself will never bring the same level of interest because only players/hardcore fans will watch. Tiger didn't make golf what it is by being popular. neither did Nadal and Fed dominate tennis because of their fanbase. They did it by being the best. how can you not see the difference? Stephano is NOT the best. But he WAS. That's the point. Also they did do it by being popular, but they were popular by being the best. This isn't always true. For example Jimmy White in snooker was huge but was runner up 6 times and never won. Their popularity drove the growth of the game. That's the issue here. If you want to grow the scene and not just have the dregs of a scene followed by hardcore fans only you need these personalities. You need people who viewers only tune in to watch them. Its vital. It is the opposite of destroying the scene, it is what keeps it alive and grows it. It blocks out opportunities for new blood, makes the game stale, and allows people who WERE dominant to keep playing in everything past their prime

But I actually think it's a good thing Stephano is doing this in front of so many viewers and Blizzards eyes just to show just how horribly broken the design of zerg and the concept of free units is in a RTS. wait till we get a game where the zerg has a massive advantage, and then terran or protoss just turtles. LOL. What are you talking about? Protoss turtles all the time and terrans do from time to time as well. Neither P or T has any free units so P or T turtling will NEVER drag on for hours and hours. Such a stalemate situation can only happen with free units. Or do you actually believe that if Z has massive advantage against P and then the P players turtles as much as he can, the game will drag on for hours? Jeez. These zerg fanboys. ugh..its a stalemate in the zerg can only atk the protoss effectively with SH while the P cant move out either or they just turtled to where they could. Why doesn't the Z just end it? He is trying to, but is trading very cost efficient because he is vsing like tempest templar archon void rays with a bunch of cannons and shit. The zerg has a hard time breaking it, and cant really so they are forced to go SH. Sure. I can agree on that turtling on 3 base is just too good in SC2 but it is still possible to break a turtling P or T player whereas SH turtling is impossible to break once you reach that critical mass of SH and static defense. To be honest, P or T turtling is not even remote to swarm host turtling. Did you even watch the game last night? When did you ever see P or T turtle play make a game drag on for 2-3 hours? I can answer that for you: Never. yea it is possible to break them after using fucking swarm hosts/vipers to slowly wittle the fucking protoss down. What would happen if SH get nerfed and P goes skytoss? The zerg now has like no answer for it or to just trade super cost inefficient while he has a great economy. I am saying it would also be more popular where you could play the game, and if you start to get pretty behind then you go skytoss while turtling so zerg cant really end so you get back in the game. yes i watched the game where pet turtled in main while endless locust hit each other at the ramp. I do think stephano could have ended it with a muta switch at the end since he killed most of the spores or go BLs maybe. The thing is that could work or he could lose. Did you even read my first post? I know Z has to go SH against skytoss and that's why the race design is so stupid. That SH creates hour long stalemate type of games as well makes it even more dumb and boring. SH shouldn't get nerfed. They should be completely removed. And yes, P needs a redesign as well. Fact is though, P and T turtling doesn't create 2-3 hour long games. zerg should not just lose to a race because they dont have a answer to what they have. The fact that they don't create long games doesnt matter.

He and others who watched him play and knew him personally (I remember an interview with Idra with him saying this) have said that he did not scout. When I see Stephano pressuring his opponent's natural and he smartly retreats and produces zerglings based on some very small information, that is scouting. He plays a safe style and is always probing his opponent with units. Don't try and teach me history, I have been watching SC2 constantly since the game came out. Stephano gets caught off-guard by gimmicks far less than most players, for years. This is a really stupid argument for everyone involved. But congrats on your supreme knowledge of game history. Thanks for contributing. You just trying to boost your post count or what? Thread full of shitposts. Interesting that you call me a shitposter. I hope to one day match your posting quality.

Because if you free up supply to do that, the locusts push far and do too much damage.
