Well he is also slowly becoming a regular Code S terran at the time we have 3-4 terrans in Code S. So yeah I would say he is one of the underrated players for sure.

Sora could have won this game ages ago if he ever bothered to split those voids when he attacked Zest's main base. But he keeps getting stormed with clumped voids all the time.

Watching that game, it's easier to understand why Flash plays the way he does in TvZ.
Sometimes it works out like that game, and he can just crush through with macro and streaming units, but the problem is that you just die if one of those first attacks gets shut down, which we've seen happen many times...

Flash was solid right from the start. Keeping those reapers alive, killing all those queens, preventing creep to get out of hand, denying the mining on zerg's 4th, being patient and not fighting before his upgrades finish, not fighting on creep,getting a 4th up etc. Looked pretty good to me.

Yeah, he had 1 barrack with techlab, reactor factory and 2 cc building.

It's similar to this 2 reaper expand except you get a 3rd reaper and 3rd cc before starting the factory and reactor.

That first fight was not really a loss for Flash. They basically traded armies (army supply was equal after the fight) while Flash was ahead on economy and upgrades. Hydra managed to save his 4th in the first fight because he invested a lot into banes which meant less mutas and less drones. But after that, he was never really able to get either mutas or banes to high enough count to be scary for Flash.
You are never really losing TvZ if you can trade against zerg while being ahead on economy.
Usually losing that first fight in TvZ would snowball into zerg's favor when zerg has good economy but Hydra had worse economy than Flash because Flash did a good job in the early game by killing all those queens.
He had control of the game since the start so that is why I said why can't he play such a smart game in GSL.
TL strategy needs to do a thread about TY builds. I mean this guy is the only Terran to do this. He forces two nexus overcharge then he goes on the main base.
Wow. You can see how he planned all these drops since the beginning of the game. Damn, baby's getting all the best builds from KT coaches while flash is almost always playing standard.

It is impossible to convert into words just how impressed and awe struck I am now by TY. Holy shit, he should name change to the Architect, such a masterfully constructed strategy built on the back of brilliant tactics!
So what would have "blind countered" this? Blink transition after 2nd Nexus (no Robo, earlier gates)? Stargate? Pretty cool though, I got to say, neat build for that map.

Stats is more clutch than you imagine. It's still PvP for Zest and TvP for Flash so reasonable pick Also I love the ACE music there, it sounds like something from Street Fighter Alpha

Zest hasn't been doing the best in PvPs recently for proleague. Stats wasn't used today so he probably prepared specifically for the ace, and CJ basically always uses herO as the ace so they can kinda prepare that ahead of time.
Stats is also a good player, he just gets put to the wayside because Zest has been doing so well lately :3
If this IS the exact same proxy Classic did against State, the guys at StarTalk said that the proxy isn't supposed to kill him, so herO is still good here.

The first time my FPL has done ok... I always pick with my heart instead of my head - I don't quite understand all the rules, so I figure that was my most enjoyable way of playing.
Needless to say, Super and Creator had fucked me in the previous rounds on my anti, and IM didnt do much for my actual team.

Just watched the VODs. Was worried about KT after Zest losing, but damn, they pulled it together. Solid game from Flash, super sexy game from TY and a good cheese defense from Stats. Very exciting and satisfying series. KT wins again!
