Well, in HerO vs Flash you can't ignore Flash's OP'ness in practice, although HerO was the one who run the PvT clinic at Cologne. Trap vs Zest is a PvP, nuff said Squirtle vs Ty... Squirtle's pwned terrans in the past, and he is only one colossus push away from victory in that match up

Flash also won last time he met HerO in Proleague.
If Squirtle had drawn Zest and Trap had drawn TY, then IM could have a chance. This way - nah, 3-0 KT. Probably, tho, if Trap wins, then ByuL will just turtle on Outboxer ezpz and after that IM will drop Nestea to play against Flash but it will be brutal.

Not really. Squirtle's PvP sucks lately. Trap vs Zest is fine even though Zest has the winning record against him.
HerO is so inconsistent there's no telling whether he'll get owned or destroy Flash. IEM Cologne HerO would be a 1-0 off the bat for IM.
I wish they just used Life and Curious in this one tbh.

Probably helps to be up by almost 20 workers going into the midgame along with having a gold base as your third
oracles. Reaper plus scan can't find it in time to prevent losing 14 workers... everyone so excited by the tempests, but they forget the hidden double stargate coinflip that made hero look so insanely stressed out for the first half of the game.

He did scan Hero's base after seeing there was a pylon there, it was his fault that he didn't place his scan so he could see the stargates. He saw the pylon with an SCV scout, why couldn't he confirm what was placed there with the subsequent scan?

Really bad play by Trap. He had 12-13 stalkers and still let Zest pick off 6 probes from his main. I think if he didn't lose those probes, he could have taken an earlier third to catch up. He was never going to be able to break Zest due to the immortal count.

He scouted the back of the nat with a marine, the back of mineral in the main. Flash was looking for a darkshrine.

good game by him. I feel like TY is kinda like the sOs of Terran, always a lot of trickery and different layers to his play. Not really gimmicky because he's a good reactive player. Squirtle did good to not get duped today

TY doesn't play standard much in TvP. Most of his wins are from holding blink all-ins and aggressive early game pushes/proxy play.
this is true. TY is amazing in tvp but he is very stylistic and does special things in early game that often throws his opponents off their game that helps him through the midgame

Only guy on IM I'm satisfied with this round. Even in defeat nearly all of his games were competitive. He actually makes a real effort to scout and respond intelligently.

And if you watched those games you know it's not a bop each time (unless Parting games... those were stomps). The guy plays top protoss. He lost a bunch. He's 50% in hots Career in TvP.

Problem in that matchup isn't, that it is not balanced or so, in a straightup fight in a game without cheese/allins the MU might be balanced, but for protoss there are too many ways around that type of game. Why should herO choose a macro game against a guy who recently won such type of game against Rain, when there are limitless opportunity to go around that type of game. Like when there is IEM showing Blink allin has 80% winrate, why shouldn't I play it, if I do lots of damage I can still transition out of it And that there are so many viable early game options for toss, that can't be punished, makes the winrates so bad recently. That is also why there are so many wins vs Flash in that matchups: a terran often has to play very predictable whereas you can never predict what the toss is up to.

My argument was never about one single game.
I only said it like this because EVERY Flash fan jumped on his bandwagon again after he beat Rain (ONE SINGLE GAME) and did his 68-2 interview. And I got flak for saying Flash is not good in TvP.
I still don't believe the is game is close to balanced yet. Terrans are improving but Protoss has now many options to hurt you early, mid and late game. For Terrans, improvements to the Thor would be welcome, as well as ghosts, and hellion speed would add dynamic ability to terrans.

hmm well I am not sure about buffing hellion or thor, what would that do in TvP? Ghost was recently patched but the problem is more that, as you say, Toss can be aggressive without punishment the whole game long, while Terran has no weapon in early game, but has to be prepared for all the possible cheeses (Blink, prox. Oracle, DT etc) So if this matchup should get more viable and predictable, there have to be some options "patched out" like it was the case in WoL for terran ghost vs ultras/BL etc.
