There's too little risk involved in certain matchups (like TvP where mothership core becomes especially overpowered). Extra gas is a delayed payoff which leads to faster teching and better upgrades but only over time. There's a real risk-reward element that would make it interesting. I don't know how anyone who watches the game seriously can say that these kind of gold bases make for fair games. They do lead to exciting games but only the first few times before everything is figured out and it just seems predictable and cheap. | ||
