All my respect for Naniwa you must be brave to forfeit in such an event. forfeiting was fine IMO. it's very sad that his spot didn't go to another player, but i think it's clear that naniwa was in the booth trying to make it work and it just didn't work. you're right, if he felt it was time to go, forfeiting was the right thing to do It really isn't fine, every other player hasn't had an issue so far. It's too much of a coincidence with his recent announcement. Just looks like he wanted an excuse. well no one can prove what was in his mind so of course i can't counter your argument. to me, i think he realized he was in a bad emotional state after the first game and didn't think he could play any more games without embarrassing himself and IEM. Agreed with most of what you said but I can't believe he gave a shit about IEM or anyone for that matter.

I'm not saying his actions weren't shitty, but this is just so pathetic you all saying 'he should of just given up or given his spot to someone else' there is every chance he believed he could of had a great first game and then rediscovered some of the passion (since I don't think it's tournaments as the reason why he doesnt want to play anymore).
Let's stop bullshitting here, you would all of done the same thing, even if you didn't care for the game anymore. Come on. Naniwa just did what you claimed no one here would do - give up the chance for 100k. defending this is non-sense. He just wasted all our time and things will be much better once this garbage drama leaves sc2 for good.
I'm not defending his actions, they were shitty, I'm attacking the retarded ideas being expressed in this thread.

Let's stop bullshitting here, you would all of done the same thing, even if you didn't care for the game anymore. I would have gone to the tournament you are correct. But I would have at least played three fucking games. I would have NEVER forfeited or not tried to win in that situation. That's just bullshit and if he planned to do something like that he should have given up the spot. Yea, he should of, and that's something he'll regret eventually, but come on, most of the people in this thread are being incredibly retarded, sitting there as if they have some kind of moral high-ground when there is no doubt that most would of done the same thing. That bullshit is boring. He earned the place, it was his, that's it.
Speaking of moral high grounds, how come the supreme being that is you even bothers to talk to the degenerate bullshitting retards we all are ?

Of course it was his and he has every right to play. He can proberush 3 times if he wants to. But leaving with a lame excuse after 1 game is basicly he worst thing he could do and i dont see the problem hating on him for that. If he PLANNED to leave after game 1 he should have just forfeited..
